- JOJennifer ONov 13, 20252.0We got take-out. This was our first time eating food from this chain. We ordered a large amount of wings, tenders, fries, and drinks. I will start with the fries. They have some skin - it's nice to know that they came from a real potato. I was not impressed to open the take-out bags to find the fries just sitting on top. Maybe that is to prevent them from steaming and getting soggy, but that allowed them to get cold really fast, and there was enough hot food in the bag (which was stapled shut and created steam anyway) that they got a bit soggy anyway. But a short stop in my oven at 350 warmed and crisped them perfectly. I was disappointed that there were quite a few that were overly brown though. When my dad opened his box of 15 wings, he said it smelled weird. Others smelled it, but it didn't smell rotten, it just smelled, well, weird. He thought it might have been the sauce. He peeled the skin off and tasted the chicken and said it tasted fine, so he ate it. The wings were average size. The tenders were pretty big. The buffalo mild sauce has great flavor and was quite rich. The blue cheese dip is creamy and not overpowering like blue cheese can sometimes be. There was a crumb of breading in my box, and I love crunchy breading. So I put it in my mouth, which was a horrible idea. I found out why the wings smelled horrible. The crumb tasted like the horrible smell - they were using really old oil. I gagged so hard on that crumb of breading. And that right there sealed the deal. I'm not going back. The sauces were strong enough to cover the flavor of old oil, so had I not crunched on that crumb, we wouldn't have discovered what the nasty smell in the wing box was. That is just poor practice to not change the frying oil when it should be changed. There are a lot of places tobget good wings. This isn't one of them.
