We ordered takeout tonight. Had the Bucatini with meat sauce, a bit spicy but very good. Also the Pappardelle la Americana which was excellent! My New York Italian-American wife said the meatballs were very good, not an easy compliment to come by. We also had the Panzanella veggie salad to start, also very good & not overdressed.
This food was on par with much more expensive Italian places, a nice surprise.
We will be back.

They only care to sell food to you. Not for you to have experience. Ended up paying but not even having a meal because it was taken out of me in order to replace with no additional charge, but then they refused to give me food at all. Will never come back or recommend this place.
I found this place in Draper and I loved it, I tried everything a little focaccia and pasta, but I can tell you that you can feel the Italian flavor. The staff who works there is very friendly and helpful. ✌🏻
I ordered a pasta that was supposed to be spicy, but it barely had any kick—just about a teaspoon each of what I think was parmesan and red pepper flakes, and both were completely overwhelmed by an overly sweet sauce. I also paid an extra $6 for the pizza add-on and received what was essentially undercooked dough, literally just dough. Overall, a really disappointing experience—the pasta was so sweet it was hard to even eat, it tastes like premade pasta they microwave before serving.

This place is INCREDIBLE! Seriously the service is 10/10, food 11111129484/10, atmosphere 10/10. Veronica took great care of us. Her suggestions were on point and left us walking away full, satisfied, and eager to tell everyone we know about Basta.
Run don’t walk to this authentic Italian restaurant.
We had two pasta dishes, two deserts and a pizza and two different Italian sodas. Wow!!!
