Packed House, but Exceptional Service Saved the Day!
We checked out the newest Dave & Buster’s for a party of 7 to celebrate my child's birthday. Pro-tip: The Unlimited Play & Eat Combo is where it’s at! 👌 Even though the place was packed to the brim, the organization was so impressive that the crowds flowed seamlessly with virtually no wait for any of the games.
The real highlight, though, was the service. Our server, Nate, gave us the BEST service we’ve experienced in years!!!
The true test came when I realized I made a mistake at checkout—I bought the unlimited play cards but forgot to bundle the "Eat" portion, assuming I could just add it later. When Nate informed us at lunch that the system doesn't allow you to add food after the fact, he immediately brought over the manager, Corey, to help.
Even though this dilemma was 100% self-inflicted on my part, Corey didn't just tell us "no." He sprung into action, created a plan, and completely saved our day. Managing a packed house seamlessly is impressive enough, but Corey and Nate's spectacular customer service took it to the next level.
Hats off to Corey, Nate, and the rest of the crew for turning my mistake into an absolutely AMAZING birthday experience! Y'all are awesome! 🙏
Do not trust the eat and play package. They lie about the food prices and couldn't even show me an itemized receipt or explain why I was over charged. I recommend eating at Buffalo Wild Wing then going to D&B for game play. Good games but deceptive business practices.

It was good. The food was great, service was great, the noise was a bit much but not too bad. The price is way to high though, 25$ for about 180 tokens/chips what ever they’re called, went up to almost 30$ with tax and a random 3$ charge that was added for literally no reason. I’d recommend either not going, or expecting to not play many games if you get less tokens and be prepared to get inflated prices for no reason.

Atmosphere & Food: A fantastic new addition to the franchise! Despite how new the location is, the food was exceptionally fresh, hot, and arrived quickly.
Service: Our server was attentive, had a great personality for hospitality, kept our drinks refilled, and checked on us often.
Noise Level: Expect the usual ambient noise—huge TVs, arcade sounds, and excited kids—but it comes with the territory.
The Arcade & Winner's Circle: The Winner's Circle was the cleanest and most organized I’ve ever seen (a perk of being a new location). While the prize area is a bit smaller and pricing reflects inflation, they still maintain a great selection.
Game Highlights: They feature several unique games, including a cool escape room concept, satisfying motorcycle simulators, classic Mario Kart, and the water-pumping fish race (though I have no idea how people manage a 5-second time on that one!).
Overall, I highly recommend this place especially for date nights or just something to do on a random Wednesday (Half priced games by the way on Sunday and Wednesday)!
⭐ 1-Star Review — Dave & Buster’s Morgantown, WV
I’ve been to a lot of Dave & Buster’s locations, and I understand that this was only the second day the Morgantown location had been open. I genuinely wanted to give them grace, but the experience was so frustrating that I feel other people should know what to expect.
First, the arcade is very small compared to other Dave & Buster’s locations, especially the Waterfront location near Pittsburgh. There aren’t nearly as many games, so if you’re going primarily for the arcade, keep that in mind. That’s not the staff’s fault, but it’s useful information for anyone planning a visit.
The dining experience was where things really went downhill. When we ordered, our waitress completely forgot to take my father’s order and walked away. I had to chase her down to get his food ordered. She also misunderstood when my mother and I said we were sharing a steak hoagie and fries, apparently thinking all three of us were sharing one meal.
When our food arrived, I went to cut the steak hoagie in half and found an extremely long black hair inside it. I understand that mistakes happen, and I’m not someone who normally complains about food. I simply asked for a new one.
The manager came over, and when I explained what happened, his first response was, “Well, they all have their hats on back there.” I understand that, but there was still a giant hair in my food. I wasn’t looking for an argument or an explanation; I just wanted a replacement. The response felt dismissive rather than apologetic.
The replacement took another 20–30 minutes to arrive, and by the time it did, everyone else at our table was finished eating. To make matters worse, the replacement steak hoagie was burnt. During all of this, our waitress never came back to check on us or refill our drinks.
Then we had issues with the Power Card. My friend purchased a $45 card, and when she asked what was included, our waitress told her it was unlimited gameplay. A moment later, she changed her answer to 90 credits. I had to explain that 90 credits is not the same as unlimited gameplay and that I would check the app to see what had actually been loaded onto the card. The waitress seemed to have no idea what she had charged my friend for.
When we received our bill, we were charged for two steak hoagies even though we had only ordered one. When I pointed it out, the waitress said she would remove the second one. My friend then asked whether the hoagie with the hair would be discounted or removed, and the waitress said they had already taken the second one off. That missed the point entirely. We didn’t order two hoagies; we ordered one, and the first one had a hair in it. The replacement was burnt and took 30 minutes to arrive.
The whole experience was disorganized, frustrating, and disappointing. I understand being new and needing time to train staff, but basic communication, customer service, and food handling should still be priorities. I hope they get things figured out because I would love to see this location succeed, but based on our visit, I would recommend waiting a while before going. If you do go, don’t expect the same arcade experience as the larger locations, and be prepared for some growing pains.
