  I usually don’t leave reviews like this, especially for restaurants, but after the experience we had, I feel like others should know. We stopped in fairly late on our way home, so we completely understood that there wasn’t much left on the bar. Because of that, our picky kids basically ate rolls and mac & cheese. Maybe it’s different at this location, but at the Shoney’s we grew up going to, if that was all someone ate, they would allow salad bar pricing. Paying around $16 each for some overly salty mac & cheese and a couple of rolls they barely ate seemed excessive. I politely asked our server if salad bar pricing was an option considering that was essentially all they had eaten, and her response was unnecessarily rude. We also were never offered menus, so the kids weren’t even given the option to order something else instead. Unfortunately, the service got even worse when we checked out. I had left some cash on the table for the tip but didn’t have enough cash for the entire tip, so I added the rest when I paid at the register. Our server happened to be the one ringing us up, and I can only assume she thought the amount I added to the card was her entire tip because her attitude immediately became incredibly rude and harsh. She did have additional cash waiting for her on the table. To make matters worse, about 10 minutes after leaving, I became extremely sick and we had to stop multiple times on the drive home. I obviously can’t say with certainty what caused it, but the salad is what concerned me most. The salad mix tasted like it hadn’t been washed properly, enough that I ate less than half of it. I understand coming in later means the bar may not be fully stocked, and we weren’t upset about that. What bothered us most was the way a reasonable question was handled, not being offered menus when the buffet selection was limited, and the attitude we received at checkout. Unfortunately, between the service, the cost for what our kids were actually able to eat, and becoming sick almost immediately afterward, this was a really disappointing experience.

  I should have read the reviews before going here. Bad food poor service and then charged a premium for using my credit card. The poor waitress had to not get a tip because of this, I have a budget to live on and if the store wants to charge me for using a credit card the money has to come from some where.

  We sat down and there was an individual spraying for bugs around the restaurant while the buffet was open. That is something that needs to be done after hours and not around food. The buffet looked really good and the kids were disappointed we had to leave without eating.

  The restaurant can use updating decor wise and new booths. The food was great! If i could give it 10 stars, I would. Our waitress was great! We ordered the buffet.
