  I've been to Buckatabon twice while in the area for work. Both times, the service and food were incredible. And the decor/atmosphere is so classically fun (it reminds me of my grandparents house, in the best way!) I highly recommend the Chicken Schnitty!

  Had great expectations for this place. Reviews were up there. Not what it was hyped up to be. Old-fashioned was not up to par. Curds were great but served with a weird pesto/ranch sauce, brussel sprouts were good. Prime rib was nothing special. Almost like it was from the day before, (we had Saturday first seating at 4 o’clock, and the prime rib was already overcooked.) Tough. Weird pesto like sauce on top. Smoked horseradish sauce to hide the blandness of the meat. Not what we were hoping for after hearing all the great reviews. Service and atmosphere were top notch, but the food did not meet expectations.

  Server was great as were the drinks and aps. Meal was lackluster and disappointing. Ordered the blackened ribeye med rare. Steak arrived med well, very dry and a very thin cut. For the money it should be a proper cut and cooked correctly. Don’t think we will be returning.

  The waitress was May more interested in the table of young men behind us. The food was old- my fish was very flavorless but smelled very fishy and the potatoes pancakes were super tough and had no taste. The coleslaw was warm and sharp tasting, like it had been fermenting for a while. I was so disappointed in everything here, but no one bothered to see if everything was okay. They were very quick to lay the bill down. I will not be back. Overpriced and awful.

  I'll sum up by saying it was okay; probably won't return. The food was all pretty good, the service was timely, but our servers were so unfriendly. Could not even crack a smile. And for a "Wisconsin supper club experience", that's just not what we expected. There were 4 of us on a recent Saturday night. We had a reservation. They seated us at a table for 6 (strange), and an unfriendly server took our drink order. About 5 minutes later, another unfriendly young woman came and told us that they needed our table for a reservation, and we'd have to move. No problem, but they made it seem like it was our fault for sitting at the wrong table, No "I'm so sorry" or anything. We moved to another section and got another unfriendly server. She seemed annoyed when we wanted a few more minutes with the menu, or when someone had a question. No "thank you" when we settled the check. The only employee that was cheerful was the gentleman who brought our appetizers. Due to our experience, I probably would not recommend to a friend.
