- JMJackie M4 days ago5.0Stopped on our way up north, excellent service with friendly staff. Our food was very good- house made pastrami Rueben and the night’s special, swordfish. Their french fries are hand cut and delicious. The warm rolls with a fantastic roasted garlic spread was lovely. The brandy old fashioneds with house made cocktail mushrooms can’t be missed. Highly recommend Simpson’s!
- WMWayne McStrack6 days ago3.0This restaurant has been a premier supper club since the 30’s. It has a nice atmosphere and good service. The food was excellent in the past but our visit was very disappointing. The broiled shrimp and scallops had a coating and were over cooked. The mixed veggies were oily. Our other dinner was the braised lamb shank. While tasty, it was a ready to warm restaurant supply dish complete with demi glaze. Not house made from scratch which went great with the garlic mash potatoes that did taste house made. We used to come here for a nice special occasion dinner. Unfortunately, we will be looking for something else next time.
