The food at Silver Coach was decent. Overall, the food was well-seasoned and the steaks were cooked to order. One of the people in our party did not like the Breast of Chicken Tchoupitoulas - could barely eat it because it was too salty. The prices were high for what they are serving by about $10 per person - it was like paying Madison prices in central Wisconsin. For a party of 5, we ended up paying $300, although this included cocktails and a bottle of Caymus cab ($78). If my wife and I hadn't split our entree, the bill would've been closer to $375. They do NOT do free refills on soda - nickel and dime. The service was not good. No one at the front of the house to seat us for quite some time, even though we had made a reservation. Once we were seated, a couple of things stood out: the wait staff dress like they're about to lounge on the couch - far from what you'd expect in a fine dining experience, the waitress opened our bottle of wine but did not offer to have us taste it our pour it - she just dropped it on the table, and we had to find our own pepper grinder to get pepper on our salads and entrees. The interior is pretty beat up. Instead of feeling quaint, it felt like you were in a trailer park office. The music on the speakers was a radio station - so you'd be eating your $60 steak and drinking your $80 bottle of wine listening to a commercial for a local car dealer. I cannot recommend this restaurant, and will likely not be going back unless I hear that things substantively change, which is a shame because the food was actually pretty good except the one dish.

Food consistent and fantastic. Front of the house, not so much so. Dined twice within the last three months, and while I’m not a regular, I’d expect more than a “are you with the party of seven” when I walk in (we weren’t the party of seven). My two friends arrived four minutes later, and we sat at the bar. We were the only ones at the bar, it was early, 5:00. When she was done texting behind the short wall located to the left of the entrance, she went to the cash register, counted out money, probably 60 seconds or so, then approached my two friends and said what can I get you, literally. She’s been at it too long, is very complacent, and doesn’t seem to care whether you're there or not, anyone can tell. Not the kind of hospitality you’d expect from a fine dining restaurant. A refresher course on hospitality could help.

Our experience at Silver Coach was one of the worst restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. The ribs had almost no meat on them - they were very tough. When we received our bill, the prices did not match what the menu said. We were given the response that “the menu has a disclaimer stating that she can change prices whenever she wants.” Each of our entrees was $10-$12 more than the advertised price on the menu. Very very disappointed.

Menu prices were very different than posted. Asked about the difference and was told there was a disclaimer stating they could change prices. Food was increased over $12 on two of the three items ordered. Ribs were very tough and hard to get off the bone.

This is the best. I can't explain the flavor. Service was great. This is a must go place.
