SafeHouse is Milwaukee’s best-kept secret since 1966! Find the iconic Red Door in an alleyway near the Milwaukee River and provide the correct password for entry. Once inside, spies can explore authentic espionage artifacts, delicious eats, and spy-themed cocktails.
The food was amazing, the cheese curds were to die for! The experience was awesome, they had a magician and a really fun scavenger hunt experience. Everything was in theme at all times! Would definitely return again one day!

The food was ok, but it's a fun restaurant. I chose to get broccolini which was a 2 dollar upcharge with a burger and it's only two pieces. My broccolini was way and a little hard to eat. The atmosphere is why I would maybe come back in the future. It's basically the second largest spy museum in the USA

Not sure how this place got 4.3 stars. Really let me down.
The food was awful. Both mine and my wife’s food was incredibly salty. The drinks were awful. Cool atmosphere, cool theme, good service but awful food and drinks.
It doesn’t matter how great the service is, or how cool and unique the place is. If the food and drinks in a restaurant aren’t good, then there’s nothing to talk about.
To my fellow reviewers - be honest and accurate in your reviews. The rest of us who are new to the experience are only coming based on your reviews and there was nothing good about this place from a restaurant perspective.
I think it’s fair to say we will never be back - unless you completely change the menu, get a new chef (if you even have one) and learn how to make basic drinks.
Thank you for the experience aside from the food.

Had dinner at the SafeHouse yesterday before we went and saw a musical. 2 stars for food and 4 stars for the experience. We brought our 3 and 6 year old with and they loved the atmosphere. They enjoyed having to do something silly to get in, the secret passages, chachkies all throughout and the phone where you have to put in a secret code and enter the “point of no return” in the basement. Service was fine. We were seated right away and waters were brought out and our orders were put in quick. It took about 30-40 minutes to get our food after orders were put in which seemed like a long time given how busy the restaurant was. Food was definitely 1-2 stars. We ordered our kids the cheeseburger kids meals and their burgers were dry and the buns were stale. They only ate half of them, and that was a struggle. Normally they eat a whole burger. My husband ordered the blackened chicken and said it was ok, nothing to write home about. I ordered the fish tacos and was brought two tacos with stale tortillas (I think they were supposed to be grilled, but were stale and chewy) with one fish stick piece in each taco, brown avocado crema and a couple pieces of cabbage. Also, $18 for two sad tacos?! I was expecting 3 tacos… but this was terrible. I thought about sending it back but didn’t because of with how long it would take to get a new order out and the time we had to get to our show. Also, our bill was over $90 (not including tip) at the end of it which we couldn’t believe. We had two kids meals, 3 lemonades (kids meals did not include a drink which was ridiculous), two adult entrees (which were under $20) and two spotted cows. They also charged us a $3 “exhibit fee” on our bill which is a money grab, we never had to pay that before. And then we had to pay $1 to use the phone and get a code to go to the point of no return. Not sure if you ever had to do that before, it has been a while since we have been here. Overall the experience was ok. It is listed as a top restaurant for kids in Milwaukee, not sure we would ever go back. The food quality and price is definitely not worth it to us.

Quirky bar/restaurant with a cold war/spy theme. You have to find the correct door to get in, then pass a "screening" by the door attendant to gain access. We went on a Tuesday night around 7pm so it was not busy, and we didn't eat so I can't comment on the food. I have been to this place before, but it was 25 or so years ago on a business trip. The decor is unique - and very interesting. They have a piece of the Berlin Wall, amongst other cold war artifacts. Lots of interesting things to see here and we'll worth the visit just for that! Only one bar was open during our visit, but they had at least 2 or 3 others. Apparently on certain nights they have a magician roaming around but that was not the night we were there. Good, friendly staff that seemed to enjoy working there. We'll worth a visit when in Milwaukee
