  First time at this restaurant and we were very impressed with the food and service. Everything was cooked perfectly, my ribeye steak in particular. Shout out to Ben in the kitchen for cooking this steak perfectly! Also, to Noah for his great service and recommendations. Great personality and kept our experience very pleasant.

  Staying in the area & stopped into Mason Street for a cocktail & afternoon snack. Server was very attentive & our adult beverages (wine & Old Fashion) had a nice pour to them. Would likely try again if back in the area in the future.

  Service and atmosphere is A+ but the food is mediocre, the soups are not good, the baked chicken was not well cooked, the burger also very very basic the meat was 6/10

  So the mushroom ravioli costs $30. I have paid $30 for 7 ravioli squares dabbled in mushroom sauce. There’s absolutely zero justification for this. This establishment will take advantage of the fact that they are “high end” to solicit such illustrious prices. The mushroom ravioli fills you up like an appetizer but nope we’re mason street grille so we can slap $30 on this. Now people who assert counter arguments will say “oh you get what you pay for”. I could go to a five star hotel in Chicago or here and get double the service and portions. Do better next time.

  My wife and I dined at Mason Street Grill this evening. We were at the Chef's Counter and had a wonderful experience. We were here in 1978 on our wedding night and while passing through Milwaukee decided to spend a night and dine. We scheduled the Chef's Counter and the experience was magical. Of course we had wonderful memories of the Pfister from our wedding night, but the evening was beyond our expectations. We were served by Olivia, who also explained the workings of the kitchen. She was wonderful, always pleasant and smiling despite obviously working very hard. She explained each course and the wine pairings. She is a wonderful human being! During the meal, the Chef, Anthony, explained each course. He was extremely busy, but always made us feel like we were his only customers. Truly exceptional servers and people. Lauren, who helped clear and Kristen, the manager, were gracious and also made us feel valued. We had an amazing experience at the Chef's counter, because of the great food, but especially because of the superlative service!
