Horrible customer service at Qdoba in Madison.
For the past two weeks, DOC has been hosting a training for employees, and each employee was given a $15 meal comp to use at participating restaurants. Unfortunately, my recent experiences at Qdoba have been terrible.
The first visit, my burrito tortilla had a huge hole in it before any toppings were even added. I mentioned it to an employee, but I was completely ignored.
The second visit was even worse. It was the last day of training, so maybe the staff had dealt with long lines all day or were tired since it was about an hour before closing, but the customer service was awful. I ordered a bowl with chicken, only to be told they were out. I changed my protein choice, but from that point on, I felt rushed through the line. Before I could even finish listing my toppings, my order had already been pushed down to the cashier.
I had to ask for my bowl to be reopened so I could complete my order. Then, to top it all off, the cashier told me I had to pay extra because I was supposedly given double meat — even though I never asked for double portions. Maybe the employee added extra because they were out of chicken, but that was never communicated to me.
To avoid holding up the line, I just paid the difference, but the entire experience was frustrating. The customer service is poor, and the food doesn’t seem to be prepared with any pride or care.

Never order ahead with the app. It took over half hour to get 2 burritos while I watched at least 30 people come and go in line while I waited. The first burrito sat for 15 minutes while waiting for the 2nd to be made so it was ice cold by the time I got it. The service and food are so much better if you don’t use the app. It wasn’t worth complaining since it obviously would have taken just as long to get a new one. The counter people seemed competent and friendly but that doesn’t change the bad food I received. This is the 2nd time recently this has happened the last time it took almost an hour for 2 burritos to go. I figured it was a one time mistake but clearly they just ignore online orders as policy.

Honestly used to love this location, but they only give small bags of chips with the nacho bowels now. It's about half the size. I'll be trying down town or just not returning to Qdoba. Strangest shrinkflation considering how often they'd give you a boat load of chips if you bought this and the small little nacho queso. I'm also going to send off a message to corporate to make sure this isn't some weird franchise issue since there are new owners. I hope it is and not a new policy across the board.
