  It took way too long to prepare the food, and we had to ask multiple times about our order. The chicken sandwich came out burned and was missing several ingredients. The burger didn’t come with any sauce, and the bun was cold. I would avoid eating there

  Food absolutely terrible. Sorry to say it was below cafeteria level. And we watched person after person trip through the doorway going into the patio.

  I write reviews every now and again and most of them are positive but this one isn’t. I stopped in at this place on a Thursday night at 7:45 PM. The place was not packed by any means. The young man met me when I first walked in and he was nice enough and he told me I could sit wherever I wanted. I sat down and waited for 10 minutes and no one came over even though I was passed by several times by waitresses. So I moved over to the bar and waited another 15 minutes and there was five people sitting there in the bartender seemed incredibly busy and after sitting there for 15 minutes wanting to order food, I just got up and left.

  This place exceeded my expectations! We ate outside, it was such a nice setting. Our server, Bella, was outstanding. The food was incredible. I had the lemon Caesar salad with chicken and the husband had their smash burger. Whatever that sauce was with the burger made it so delicious! The lemon Caesar dressing was so good with my salad! I’m now searching for a lemon Caesar dressing for home and don’t know if I could ever have a Caesar salad again without it. LoL. I think the fries we had with the burger were the best fries I have ever had. Oh, the north woods pickles for an appetizer…. Perfect. Get those! Loved the experience at Magpie’s, it was great from start to finish. We will be coming back!

  My wife and I are visiting the area and stopped in at Magpie's for a bite before attending the Tristen Christ Magic Theater (great show BTW!). We always enjoy sitting at the bar where we can converse with the bartender and others at the bar. Micky was the bartender on duty. She gave her recommendations on both food and drink. Micky was a super lovely young lady, very attentive and personable. I ordered a Mule that was very good. I also had a Downeast(?) Cider that was very good. My wife had her usual... wine. We both ordered the Smash burgers, I had the homemade chips, my wife ordered the coleslaw. We also ordered the cheese curds and the fried pickles. The cheese curds were delicious and the pickles wrapped in wonton were very good... different but very good. The Smash burgers were also very good. The chips with my burger were just OK. I would personally order fries next time. My wife enjoyed the coleslaw although, she did add a bit of sugar to sweeten them up a little. All in all, a very nice outing that we both enjoyed very much. Micky definitely made the evening memorable. If you're in the area, Magpie's is definitely worth the stop.
