I came to Buffalo Wild Wings in Hudson on July 24 with a group of seven people, and unfortunately, what should have been a nice night out got off to a very frustrating start because of the way we were treated by the manager on duty. Our server, Jade, came over and took our drink orders. Everyone ordered water, and I ordered the Watermelon Red Bull Punch. When she returned with the waters, I simply asked if it would be possible to have a little less ice in my drink. She told me that the drink had already been made and that they couldn’t do that. I asked if they could simply pour it into another cup with less ice, and she told me that it was “part of their policy” that they couldn’t do that. I asked her to clarify if the policy really meant that customers weren’t allowed to request less ice in their drinks. She said yes, and then, while I was still speaking to her, she simply walked away. Another employee, Mitch, eventually brought me the drink, and it was filled above the brim with ice. At that point, I asked if I could speak with a manager. The manager who came over identified herself as Rhi (I thought she said Bree until Mitch later clarified her name was Rhi). I want to be clear that this was the floor manager on duty, not the bartender. I explained what had happened and asked her about the policy regarding ice. She confirmed that it was, in fact, their policy that a customer could not request less ice in a drink. She then said that if they put less ice in the drink, there wouldn’t be as much actual drink in the cup. I told her that I understood the drink might look less full with less ice, but that was completely fine with me. I wasn’t asking for less of the actual drink, I wanted the same amount of liquid with less ice. I was simply asking for less ice because I personally prefer to add a little water to dilute sweeter drinks, and I was perfectly fine with the drink appearing less full as a result. Rhi took the drink and walked away. When she returned, she dropped a completely different-looking drink on the table without saying anything and walked away. The new drink was served in a plastic cup that appeared to be the type normally used for soda, rather than the glass the original drink came in. I honestly don’t understand why simply requesting less ice resulted in such a strange and unnecessarily difficult interaction. What bothered me the most wasn’t even the drink. It was the attitude and complete lack of professionalism throughout the interaction. Rhi was extremely short, curt, and unpleasant. There was no attempt to de-escalate the situation, explain the policy in a courteous way, or make the customer feel like their concern was being heard. The interaction left me feeling as though I was being treated like an inconvenience for making an extremely simple and reasonable request. We didn’t see Rhi again for the rest of the evening, and Jade also never returned to our table. Thankfully, another server, Mitch, took over and was fantastic. He was attentive, helpful, and professional, and honestly did a great job of turning what started as a terrible experience into a much better night. I’m posting this review because I hope someone from Buffalo Wild Wings corporate or district management sees it and takes the time to look into what happened at this location. I understand that employees have policies they need to follow, but there is absolutely no excuse for treating customers rudely or making them feel unwelcome over something as minor as asking for less ice in a drink. I have included pictures to show the difference between the original drink and the replacement I was given. I hope management reviews this situation, including the customer service provided by the manager on duty, because the way this interaction was handled was completely unacceptable. The issue wasn’t just the ice. It was the attitude, the lack of professionalism, and the way a simple request was turned into an unnecessarily unpleasant experience.

Mitch was the saving grace of this place. Made our terrible experience a lot better. The manager Bree was very rude and so was one of the other servers. Brought out cold fries and did not care to fix it after we asked.

Bree the manager was extremely rude and short. I am extremely disappointed with the experience my group had at this Buffalo Wild Wings location. We came in with a party of friends expecting to enjoy a meal together, but unfortunately the customer service completely overshadowed our visit. The manager was dismissive, short with us, and came across as rude from the moment we interacted with her. Instead of trying to help or answer our questions courteously, she made us feel like we were an inconvenience. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with basic respect and professionalism, regardless of how busy the restaurant may have been. A manager sets the tone for the entire restaurant, and in this case, the lack of courtesy and customer service was very disappointing. I hope Buffalo Wild Wings’ corporate team takes this feedback seriously and addresses the importance of treating guests with respect. Experiences like this are what cause loyal customers to think twice before returning. I would appreciate someone from corporate reviewing this location’s management practices so future guests don’t have the same experience.

This location continues to go downhill. They have some decent employees but the Managers are not supportive and sometimes I wonder if they have worked in a fast paced restaurant. Tonight, they had a Service Manager bartending that had never bartended. The guy next to us waited an hour for his food and then they gave it to the guy next to him. He ordered a water and waited for 45 more minutes and still no food and never got his water. He walked out. Multiple tables also walked out because of the backup. We waited 25 minutes to get our drink order in. Normally we would have walked out but it was almost comical and we just had to see for ourselves if things improved. I felt bad for the servers as they were taking the brunt of this from customers. The hostess looked beat down by the time we left. Katie the Shift Manager just washed dishes but nothing more. No acknowledgment of the customers or staff. I would say I am a pretty loyal BWW customer but I continue to worry this one will be out of business any day now. It is a horrible reflection on the other BWWs. They brought in a bartender right before we left. I will say he knew what he was doing and rocked it to get caught up. He served more drinks in 5 minutes than the Service Manager did in 45 minutes. The servers were almost in tears when they saw him. They told him they would pay him themselves if needed. This type of mismanagement shouldn’t happen and the employees don’t deserve it. I hope for the staff and restaurants sake that someone comes in and does an overhaul. Oak dale and Maplewood don’t have these same issues.

Every time I get BWW delivered something is missing ftom my order. I always try to call them to give them the opportunity to make it right and typically cannot get ahold of anyone and when I do get ahold of someone they want me to leave my house and come and pick up the missing item and refuse to refund my money. This time none of the sauces in the world cup sauce sampler were included, which was the entire reason for my order. Don't bother ordering from this place if you want to get everything you paid for and enjoy your food.
