I called to place an order and was left on hold for over 30 minutes with absolutely no updates. No one checked back in, no automated message, and no employee came on the line to say they were busy or that someone would be with me shortly. I was simply left sitting there wondering if anyone was ever going to answer. After finally hanging up and calling back, I got through to someone within seconds. The employee explained that they had gotten "really slammed." While I understand that businesses get busy, that's not an excuse to leave customers on hold for half an hour with no communication whatsoever. Good customer service means periodically checking in with waiting customers and letting them know what's going on. When I expressed my concerns and asked to speak with a supervisor, I was told that the supervisors were extremely busy and that they could take my information and have someone call me back later. After already spending over 30 minutes on hold, being told that no supervisor was available to address the issue only added to the frustration. To make matters worse, I was informed that only one meal deal can be used per order. That completely defeats the purpose of offering deals in the first place. Families and larger orders should be able to take advantage of multiple promotions to save money, not be limited to one. Between the lack of communication, excessive hold time, inability to speak with management, and frustrating promotion restrictions, this was a very disappointing experience. Domino's needs to do a much better job managing customer calls, supporting customers when issues arise, and setting clear expectations when they're busy.
