- TTtaySep 20, 20262.0PSA: be VERY anal about checking your dates when shopping here. i have not always been the best about checking dates, but very rarely do i ever have issues elsewhere. for this specific safeway, within the last year, i have probably came home with at LEAST 5 expired products from this safeway. i’ve seen expired products many times when i do remember to check dates. i’ve even called about it once when i bought an expired cheese and cracker thingy from the cheese isle. i told them to check the dates on the others—not mad at the time, just a little warning to help the employees out because FIFO is ENGRAINED in my mind from service work. i ended up going back the next day for some things, and i thought to check on those cheese and cracker things i called about. they never did check the dates, so i took them (MULTIPLE EXPIRED PACKAGES) out of the cooler and handed it to a worker. i never realized i came home with expired ground beef patties a few days ago until NOW because it was for tonight’s dinner. its never expired by a day either, its DAYS, sometimes WEEKS. ANYWAY, just a warning. the one time i wasn’t anal about my dates it bit me in the butt once again on some very expensive beef. 🫠🫠 other than the way too much expired things sold in this store… i have no other qualms. just irritated that i keep falling victim to things expired by days sitting on shelves and it doesn’t seem to get better… even with letting workers know about it.
