Save Your Money and Choose Digiorno Pizza
We went to dinner on a Monday evening. The place only had one other small group dining in. We were initially sat at a table that wobbled so bad, it could’ve walked out the door on its own, so we ended up moving to another table. We informed the waiter, and he said thank you and that he’d have it fixed. Another couple came in shortly after we moved, and they were sat at that same wobbly table. We ordered a medium (12”) pizza, ½ pepperoni and ½ All About The Meat. Additionally we ordered a House Salad to share, and since they didn’t have Thousand Island dressing, we asked for two sides of Ranch dressing. For drinks, my wife ordered a House Chardonnay and I had ice water.
The wine came out promptly. The salad followed short while later. It was a small plate with lettuce, a little bit of cheese, some red onions, and three small tomato slices. No croutons, as per the menu.
After about 30 minutes of ordering, the waiter came to tell us that they made a mistake and made the whole pizza All About The Meat. He said we could have that pizza at a discounted price, or we could have another pizza made, the way we ordered it. We went ahead and chose the mistake at a discounted price, rather than wait another 30 plus minutes for a new pizza to be made. Once we got the pizza, the waiter was very apologetic. The pizza, even though not made to order, mainly had sauce, meat, and very little cheese to hold the toppings on.
When we got the bill, the waiter said that he was really sorry about the mix up. We reviewed the bill and noticed that the pizza was only discounted $2.00. The wine was $15.00, and the salad was $10.00. We were charged around $28.00 for the pizza, and that was discounted. Really, only a $2.00 discount?? If we would’ve known the cheap half glass of wine was $15.00, we wouldn’t have gotten it, and the salad?? $10.00 for a small plate of iceberg lettuce, a few onions, three small tomato slices and a little cheese? At the time of the writing of this review, I looked up the pizza we ordered on their website, and it appears that a medium (12”) half & half pizza containing half pepperoni and half A.B.T.M. is $13.00. Did we get scammed??
The waiter brought us a box for our left over pizza, and again apologized that we had a negative experience. Yes, it was a negative experience that could’ve been turned into a positive one with some basic Customer Service techniques. But all we were offered was a $2.00 discount on a pizza that was not made to order.
Long story short, this was a horrible experience and we will likely not be returning.
