I work in sales and customer service, And I gotta say their energy at the end of the night as well as their hospitality when I walked in right before closing was definitely tip worthy. Unfortunately, the machine will not allow you to tip. Nobody carries cash. Please update your machine so their extra work and attitude Can be rewarded by happy customers.

The young man with dreads was very rude like he didn't want to be there. I had to ask him to speak up and he just had attitude. University Place jimmy johns has never been like this. Poor young lady working with him seemed frustrated. Trying to get him to focus.

Extremely unprofessional employees. I really like their sub sandwiches which is the only reason I have been coming back. I usually order food from them on their app so I can earn rewards points.
However, every time I have ordered food, they NEVER update the status of the order. I placed an order at 12:11 and came in at 12:55 and it was ready and just sitting out, but they never updated the order status so I didn’t know my food was ready.
I politely asked the cashier why the status had not been updated and another employee interjected and said “We don’t have time to take our gloves off and press the screen”.
I worked in food service about 15 years ago, so I am one of the biggest tippers and most empathetic people to the plight of food service workers. However, this is beyond rude and unprofessional. I would have been fired or at least written up when I was in food service if I had said anything like that to a customer.
It takes 5 seconds to press the button on the screen. Don’t even get me started on the food safety implications either with people’s orders sitting out for who knows how long. There were also about 5 employees there so it’s not like they were short staffed even for a lunch “rush” (there were only two customers in the store including me). Although even if they were short staffed that doesn’t excuse this laziness or rudeness either. Staff needs to be retrained or fired. I will take my business elsewhere.
