I honestly really enjoy Safeway grocery stores I've always had a pleasant and Mutual respectful visit at every Safeway until I visited the one on 72nd in Tacoma the most disrespectful employees and overall rude and unhelpful security people is all you'll find at that store if you ask a question they literally will answer your question in a way that makes you get frustrated or not feel appreciated like you're doing something wrong for asking a simple question my experience I was in the store and I kindly asked when the service desk would be open and I was told by multiple employees including a floor manager that it opened at 10:00 in the morning on Tuesday as I was going to leave I looked at the service desk and the sign said 9:00 a.m. now everyone there was just specifically giving me an answer to get rid of me is the vibe that I got absolutely rude no reason whatsoever and they call the police on people that are just outside talking to their co-workers it's ridiculous I think that Tacoma cops have way better stuff to do besides listen to these ridiculous employees with ear pieces that think they know or want to be a cop let the cops do the investigations/Cop Duties and you guys with your earpieces just go ahead and try to get some customer satisfaction try treating the customers like they're the ones that make it so you guys have a paycheck I'm not asking for much just a smile instead of a mean :-( when I ask for a simple request

I went to Safeway today to pick up a couple of birthday cards. When I scanned the cards to pay for them, it was over twenty dollars. For two birthday cards! The definition of corporate greed. I would urge people to spend their money somewhere else, but since the Fred Myer shut down on Pacific, there aren't many options, and Safeway uses this opportunistically to raise prices. I will not be shopping at Safeway again.

The store itself is okay. It's generally clean, the shelves are usually stocked, and the employees I've interacted with have been polite and helpful. I can usually find what I need without much trouble. The biggest downside is the parking lot. On multiple visits, I've been approached by people asking for money, and it made me feel uncomfortable. While I understand the store can't control everything that happens outside, it does affect the overall shopping experience. If the parking lot felt safer, I'd have a much better impression of this location.

I will no longer shop at this particular Safewayand will be filing a complaint as they do not provide the proper enviorment for the consumer's to shop and do not reasonably accommodate disabled consumers. Safeway is a grocery store, not a market. As a customer you expect that if you're grocery shopping and need to use the bathroom one will be available. However store clerks will say there's no public restrooms available. Your serve the public as customers, take their money but won't accommodate them with a restroom. My disabled son, who is nonverbal and can't prewarn had to immediately use the restroom and he was denied. It is unreasonable to expect consumers to stop their shopping , leave and go find a restroom when they are clearly customers of the store. As a result my son had urinated on himself. Highly embarrassing when you have no control over of your limited capacity. A store that doesn't respect or accommodate its customers isn't a store I can support. I'll be filing my complaint.
