- GBGillian Rose BlackJun 23, 20262.0I like Safeway because it is close but now they NEVER have an open check lane. Only self checkout. Last time I checked, I am not employed by Safeway and I get no discounts for checking and baging my own groceries. Too many companies are doing this and it's not right. For the amount we are paying for the groceries there should be at least one open checkout stand staffed by an actual employee. If I wanted to do self checkout I'd go to Walmart and pay less money. So what do the employees actually do now? Because they sure aren't helpful 😒 . Very disappointed with this new direction of management.

I’m just curious how many employees had to touch this to put it in a package. Shows how much they truly care and pay attention. Then I called to talk to a manager about it and was told sorry and hung up on. Great customer service, you literally sold me something that expired 2 years ago and not care?? Combine that with the drink lady that works self checkout and yells at children. I use to love this store but management has gone to crap and won’t be returning

Every time I've come here during a sale I've come to see empty shelves and higher prices on non-sale items. It's the old bait and switch, and after visiting this week (sorry, didn't think to take more pictures of an empty shelf) I finally am swearing this location off for good. They refused to honor their sale price with a rain check (and the sale ends today). And with the price of gas, I can't justify repeatedly visiting this location which never has their promo items in stock. So again, congratulations on reaching the pinnacle of sales and no longer needing customers. Let me know who to address the congratulations card to so I can mail it in.
