I am writing to report an incident that occurred, during a recent drive-thru visit, and to request that this matter be reviewed using audio-inclusive security footage from that date and time 8/1/2026 9:06pm.
I was placing an order via motorcycle. In my experience, the vehicle-detection systems at drive-thru speakers frequently fail to register motorcycles, which was the case here. Despite calling out clearly for approximately 2–4 minutes, I received no response. As I have done at this and other locations when this occurs, I proceeded to the payment window to place my order in person.
At the window, I was met with silence from the employee — no greeting or acknowledgment. I dismounted my motorcycle (as I normally do, and wear earplugs for hearing protection, so I would not need to ask anyone to raise their voice) to communicate more easily. A manager then approached and instructed me to go to the front lobby in a rude tone multiple times being hostile with me and the kitchen dude was rude too, he thought he could intimidate me by saying “because I said so”. citing safety concerns about my standing near the window. I noted that the vehicle behind me, and others, could clearly see me, and asked for further clarification. She replied only that I needed to comply “because she said so,” without offering a reason.
A kitchen employee then approached and repeated the instruction to move to the lobby( rude and hostile for no reason, mind you I didn’t talk to any of them in a rude tone at all because I have to go to the first window to order lots of times), again without explanation or apparent authority to direct me. When the manager returned, I asked again for the reasoning behind the request; she indicated she would explain but did not do so at that time.
I proceeded to the lobby and placed my order, then asked to speak with the manager. When she approached, she became visibly upset and stated that I had been rude to her first— despite the fact that I had not exchanged a single word with her prior to that point at the cashiers window( where she initiated the conversation by being rude and hostile towards me!!!!). I apologized for causing her distress, though I disagreed with the characterization of my conduct. She subsequently apologized and stated she would take responsibility for the incident.
I want to be clear that my intent is not to seek termination for any staff member involved. My goal is to ensure this situation is reviewed so that similar experiences can be prevented for other customers in the future, particularly those in situations where standard vehicle-detection technology does not accommodate motorcycles.
I would appreciate a review of the footage (with audio, if available) from this visit, and a response outlining any steps that will be taken.
