- KMkarla .mccrea4 days ago1.0Very disappointing customer service at the Sequim Safeway\. We’re visiting from out of town and had a few simple questions about what they carried in the alcohol department\. Cathy told us she works in that department but couldn’t answer our questions because she doesn’t drink\. We then asked John and got basically the same response: “I don’t know, I don’t drink\.” Both were rude and made us feel like we were bothering them just by asking\. We had also stopped in the night before to buy a few small bottles\. Before we’d even had a chance to look through the selection, John walked away saying he had to go to the checkout and left us waiting quite a while before coming back\. I certainly don’t expect employees to drink alcohol to work in that department, but I do expect them to either know something about their inventory or politely help a customer find the answer\. A simple “I’m not sure, but let me find out” would have been perfectly fine\. Unfortunately, after two visits and two similar experiences, the customer service left a very poor impression\.
