This was my second visit, and the experience was a bit different from the first.
About two months ago, I tried a wrap and the Crab Wontons. The wrap was filling, affordable, and generally good, though not remarkable. The crab wontons, however, were excellent. They were easily the best I’ve had in the area, and even my roommate agreed.
This time, I ordered the Chicken Pad See Ew and another order of wontons to go. The service was impressively fast; my food was ready in about five minutes.
The Pad See Ew had great flavor, but the broccoli and carrots were overcooked and lacked the usual crunch. Given how quickly the order came out, I’m guessing the noodles and vegetables are prepared in batches, which can cause the veggies to soften more than they should.
The Crab Wontons were the biggest disappointment. The filling still tastes great with a god crab-to-cream-cheese ratio, but the amount of filling has noticeably decreased since my first visit. I understand costs are rising, but the difference was enough that I can’t recommend them anymore.
Overall, the food is pretty good and the service is extremely fast. I’d come back if I needed a quick, reliable lunch, but if I’m looking for something more impressive, I’d probably go elsewhere.
