- KBKitt's Music Box3 days ago1.0I'm not a Karen, but man.. If you can't stop texting for more than a minute that your job, they shouldn't be paying you. Check out guy with the long blonde hair working today July 7 at 6:10pm spent the whole time texting on his phone. When I came up he was sitting on one of the self-checkout machines playing on his phone ignoring the line, and when I was waiting and he was blocking the machine in view he just pointed at another machine around the corner without looking up. Every time the self-checkout till had an issue, which is regularly, customers had to wait a minute or two for him to notice. That isn't a super long time, but with about 5 machine malfunctions just on mine, it adds up. If you're at work you should be working, not just grinning while you text people and ignore customers. I asked another staff member if there was someone I could let know and she told me to call customer service. I'm not waiting on the phone so here you go.

I imagine it must be some sort of security measure. I don’t want to deal with pushing a cart through the narrow aisles, especially during busy times. And obviously if I forego a basket I’ll be buying less when I’m there. One block away, Metropolitan market still has baskets. While some items there are overpriced, I was shocked to find others priced significantly less expensive than Safeway. When I’m feeling more price sensitive, I’ll drive the extra couple of minutes to Fred Meyer to avoid dealing with carts in the narrow spaces.

The city and Safeway needs to do better for their customers and the neighborhood around it. Friendly staff.
