1 million percent wouldn't recommend. It's been over a week that I have heard from the management of this Safeway from the incident that my friend got assaulted and abused by the security guard that worked there. The guy stalked and followed my friend out of the store and began to assault her by kicking, scratching, and hitting her for the products that she had proof of purchase for, when contacted by the district manager of Safeway he didn't sound concerned at all and stated that he will forward it to the supervisor of the security team and yet nothing has been done. They treat people like criminals even though proof of purchase was offered to be shown and yet it was rejected at the time she had offered to showed the receipt and still proceeded to assault her. Management doesn't care about this so I would STEER CLEAR of this place if you don't want to be assaulted by the security guard. Also, on top of this the security guard wouldn't stop assaulting her until all the items that she had purchased, even the ones that weren't bought in the store was given to him. They are nothing but thieves. If we have receipts and is giving you proof of purchase we shouldn't be treated like this, but Safeway DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE FACT THAT WE HAD PROOF OF PURCHASE. Don't go to these people until this is resolved and actually dealt with I am going to leave 1 star reviews about how they simply don't care about the assault that their security guard did to my friend and the lack of empathy that they give when the situation has happened. They are simply cold hearted when it comes down to this situation. It wasn't the first time that this has happened to my friend and I HIGHLY DOUBT that this would be the last time, but I know that I will be moving my medications and where I shop from food and not give them my business anymore. This place is super unprofessional on how they handle things and needs to be reprimanded. Assault isn't okay to do to someone when they have proof of purchase or assault isn't okay at all in any circumstances unless you're defending yourself. Can't just follow my friend out to the bus stop and then start assaulting her for the product she bought with receipts in her hand. I have a feeling that they were racially profiling her because she is black and that's why they aren't taking this situation into account and handling this in a more professional matter than to just ignore the situation.

Small struggling Safeway store still too close to downtown to avoid the inevitable Seattle homelessness crisis and without enough shelf and storage space to maintain popular fresh items through the weekend. The store is most definitely an asset to Lower Queen Anne, but if you are after something fresh in high demand and it is after 5pm, you usually have to go up the hill to the Upper Queen Anne store to get it.

Love we can take our dog for a quick errand. Perfect opportunity for training but also convenient when you literally just need toothpaste.
Security is nice at the front door and they don't feel "in your face" like some other places lately.
Organized and usually well stocked. Meat is always a great price here and sales are good and often.

Hands down, worse stocked store Safeway owns. I even put the Othello store way above this store. I guess people are afraid to work at this store. I know they certainly don't like to stock everyday or even every other day. They stock once a week, that's it.
