I had a very disappointing experience at this Safeway on the morning of July 13. I arrived before the store opened at 6:00 AM because I wanted to buy one of the limited-edition Starbucks Pink Bear cups. However, before customers were even allowed to enter the store, several Safeway employees were already lined up at the Starbucks kiosk and purchased all six cups as soon as it opened. As a customer, I don’t think this is fair. Many people wait outside before opening, sometimes for an hour or more, hoping to have a chance to buy these limited-release items. Meanwhile, employees are already inside the store before customers can enter, giving them an unfair advantage. Customers never had a fair opportunity to purchase these items. I hope management reviews this practice and implements a fairer policy so limited-edition merchandise is available to customers first.

I arrived at **4:00 AM on July 13, 2026**, well before the store opened, because today was the release day for the Starbucks Bear Cup. I wanted to give myself a fair chance to purchase one. To my disappointment, when the store opened, I was informed that **all six cups were already gone**. From what I witnessed, the cups had been taken by employees before customers even had an opportunity to purchase them. As someone who waited outside for hours before opening, this was extremely disappointing and felt unfair to everyone who came early expecting a fair chance. Limited-edition merchandise should be available to customers first, especially when people make the effort to arrive hours before opening. If employees are allowed to purchase or reserve the entire stock before the doors even open, it defeats the purpose of a public product launch and undermines customer trust. I'm not upset because I missed out—I'm upset because the process didn't appear to be fair. I hope Starbucks reviews its policy on employee purchases of limited-release merchandise and ensures that future launches give customers an equal opportunity to buy these items. I have always enjoyed supporting Starbucks, but experiences like this make loyal customers question whether these releases are truly intended for the public. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and implements a fairer process going forward.
