- LTLetao Tao6 days ago1.0They have a new parking lot policy with Diamond Parking services that will ticket you even if you shop at Safeway in the 2 hr span if you walk to any other businesses in the vicinity (like the BoA or shops along MLK, and there are no clear signs designating which areas this applies to). Combined with the often low stock of some produce and meats / dairy it’s definitely a struggle to find any positives about this place.

Coming from another state where Safeway has a good reputation-I've been disappointed in the past with Seattle stores. Today's visit changed my mind. I won't be avoiding this store in the future; which is nice since it's within walking distance.

I don't want this situation to be misunderstood as if I came in only to use the restroom. I am also a customer who shops here and spends money at this business. I had an urgent need to use the restroom, but I was told that I could not. I found this extremely embarrassing and disappointing. Access to a restroom during an urgent situation is a basic human need. Refusing a customer in such a situation reflects poorly on the store and does not match the level of customer service I would expect. As someone who has always had a positive opinion of this business, I was genuinely surprised by this experience. I hope this policy is reconsidered so that future customers are treated with more understanding and compassion.
