  You MUST have a shakedown of your security staff because at least one male security guard has been making female customers uncomfortable to shop here.

  Does not have baskets. Does not have medium size carts. The aisles are way too narrow for the gigantic carts which are the only options. The staff are always nice but whoever the manager is clearly does not care at all about the quality of the shopping experience.

  The corporate strategy of getting customers to do all the work ourselves is in full effect at this store. They only bothered to install 3 actual check stands and still don't staff any of them, ever. You can even walk by and notice stacks of random items like the stands themselves are merely storage at this point. The only place you can find a human to check out your purchase is in their alcohol fort. The higher-ups obviously know that when there are ZERO eyes on customers who are left to do the work of a company that tries to harvest absolutely as much money as they can from people buying FOOD TO LIVE - those people will eventually see said company as a predatory entity instead of simply a place for locals to buy food for their families. But Safeway places but one human worker there to guard their alcohol, and one to handle the countless droves of customers who are otherwise forced through the cattle line at the self-checkout corral, and that is all. The few staff members I've engaged with have been helpful enough, but mostly they seem drained and sometimes even dead-eyed. The entrance to this store is always surrounded by any number of hazardous types of people on a regular basis. They're not at all unfamiliar with actual shootings in front of the store either. I've been in this area for less than a month and already walked around police tape there twice. Basically, this particular Safeway location is the epitome of why this corporation has joined the list of worst ones to support overall, alongside Kroger/Fred Meyer/QFC, Walmart, and Target. Just absolute greed as the blueprint, with no attention to anything resembling real service, or even basic care and safety for their crew or customers. This location also just has a terrible layout and selection and half of the coolers and shelves are locked up and you have to hunt for staff to ASK them to unlock basic items for you to then go check out yourself. This place is rampant, end-stage capitalism incarnate and you should really just go support places like Winco instead, always.
