They didn't bring it out for over 15 minutes, and we got to wait next to someone going through heroin withdrawals. when we went inside to ask for it they said 'oh yeah we were thinking of bringing it out'. They are unhelpful with pickup and if you go inside to shop, half of everything is locked up. Don't bother going unless you literally have no other choice. It's unsafe, likely out of what you need, and unhelpful if you get pickup.

Urgently needed veggies for a recipe and security made me leave my backpack with my laptop in it on the dirty floor by the front door. Apparently it's a policy that all backpacks need to stay at the front door. No locker, bag check, tag, receipt, or anything secure. They didn't watch it. I called & emailed management asking who would be responsible if it was stolen. Or if they'd keep bags secure in the future if we can't wear backpacks in the store. This is in the university district. Wild to ban backpacks. All I got was basically "we'll get back to you," with no actual answer. I’ll just go to Trader Joe’s or Whole Foods. Safeway is too expensive anyway. And that's an awful policy. Anti-cyclist, anti-pedestrian.
