  Consistently the best spicy, fried chicken🍗 plate in Seattle! 😎 (They have a jerk chicken plate too, but that is different.) Its crispy and just spicy enough to almost burn your tongue, but does not cross that line. Great happy hour prices on almost everything on the menu, including the chicken plate, all day on Tuesday. Bonus points for allowing dogs on back patio 🐕‍🦺. While there is a nice outdoor back patio, the seating is not comfortable, the wood benches are hard and narrow and the tables are too low. As the signage states, they no longer have fire torches on the outdoor patio because the propane tanks were consistently stolen, so wear something warm if you chose outdoor seating. The service is friendly and efficient. Music is not too loud, so you can talk without yelling. Overall, its a great place to hang out, relax and eat!

  My first time having gumbo, very yummy and perfectly seasoned. The spice was really well balanced. Our bartender Emily was so friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the menu and flavors. The perfect guide to a delicious experience. I will be back to try the shrimp and grits!

  How come no one told me about this unbelievable plantain bread pudding with coconut ice cream and rum caramel?!! Are you kidding? The best dessert in town, hands down. They apparently change it out seasonally. I’ll be back at least once a quarter then sounds like

  So I just finished watching Treme and figured I'd finally go check this place out. I've been past it so many times but had never gone in... Wow. The regret I feel having not known how great this spot is overwhelming. The food is incredible, on a level one rarely finds in Seattle. It was also very reasonably priced. The interior is both cozy and classy and the outdoor patio is lovely. Emily, who was at the counter, was also lovely. S/T Hooligan's is must be one of the most slept on (or maybe I'm just late to the game) and raddest spots in this entire city. I can't wait to get back over there and work my way through the menu.
