The brown stew red snapper was amazing! i will be returning again. The owner is very hands on with customers experience and is not afraid to get in the kitchen, to make sure your food is made well.
I’m going to be 100% honest. This is my favorite restaurant currently in Seattle. Food is amazing, customer service is amazing, and the overall atmosphere is great. Real authentic Jamaican food. The oxtails are my favorite and gotta come here at least once a week.
Food from oh jah is so nostalgic, every bite takes you down memory lane, especially being a native of Jamaica(born & raised) so believe me when I tell you 10/10✅,I had the salt fish & boil dumplings earlier today and it felt like a blast from the past🤯,real authentic Jamaican food infused with flavor and love,I highly recommended🔥🔥🔥 if you’re in the Seattle/shoreline area and if you’re not it’s worth the drive 🙌.

Oh Jah Jamaican Corner is the absolute real deal for authentic island flavor in Seattle. The Oxtail and Jerk Chicken Combo is perfection—rich, fall-off-the-bone tender meat paired with smoky, juicy chicken, sweet plantains, and flawless rice and peas.Make sure to grab a Jamaican Beef Patty too; the pastry is incredibly flaky and buttery. The food travels perfectly for takeout, and the family running it couldn't be more welcoming. A must-visit neighborhood gem!
I had the blessing of getting to try this place out at the Saturday Market in SLU.
I haven’t had a promising opportunity to get a bomb asa Jamaican Patty in over 15 years when I left Miami. This was finally my chance! Friends, they did not disappoint!
First, the gentlemen at the booth were so kind and welcoming!
The patties were phenomenal! Perfect flake, filling and lil kick of spice at the end — heaven! — I also had to try the fried plantains since this is a comfort food I often crave. They were crisp and caramelized on the outside with that wonderful sweet squishy inside.
I had the best lunch today and know exactly where to go when I am missing the flavors of the Caribbean.
