Like many, stopped in after show at 5th Ave. Had the pie flight and a beer, my wife had grilled chicken sandwich. Her sandwich was ok...under seasoned breast but not bad. I was less satisfied. Sheppard's Pie ok. A little dry, but meat was well seasoned. Chicken pie was meh. Frozen Marie Calendars is better. Potato and leek was bland. The steak and mushroom was not good at all. Tasted like canned Dinty Moore stew. One bite was all I could take. Beer was not very cold and had a sour note which I do not associate with Elysian brews. Lots of places to try in Seattle. Next show I will go elsewhere.

My husband and I were casually hanging out downtown and we came across Elephant & Castle. My husband loves British culture so we immediately decided to go in. We ordered the chips and dips as an appetizer and it was simply amazing. It was fresh, chips were crunchy and the dips were flavorful. I love pies and wasn’t sure on which one to get so I was very thankful they had an option where you could try a mini version of all the pies in one order. I got that and my husband got the shepherd’s pie. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. JB was our server and he made sure to check on us, he was friendly in conversation and helped create a great experience for us overall. 10/10 service, highly recommend and I plan on coming back.

Made reservations for 6pm on Wednesday, going to 5th Ave Theater after dinner. The place was very busy. I was seated right away since I had a reservation. Lots of people equals lots of noise so this is NOT the place for a quiet dinner, nor should it be! McKayla was my server, she is very good at her service. She took my drink and food order, I was ready and a bit worried I would not make the show in 90 minutes. My drink came out fast and food in usual time. I ordered the Shepherds Pie, it came out in cast iron skillet, perfect size for one. It was hot and delicious. There was a salad served with it, had lots of craisins, some almonds, nice greens, and creamy feta. Everything was awesome and done super well even though they were very busy. McKayla was excellent, asked if I wanted the check when I was done, thank you McKayla for the great service experience and Elephant and Castle for excellent dinner before the show. I was done in less than 45 minutes, wished I could have spent more time watching soccer, maybe during World Cup!

The fish and chips are surprisingly good. Nice quality, fresh, lightly battered and fried fish on a plate classic enough to be recognizable with some slight twists. The tartar sauce is lemon forward. The slaw is herbaceous and light. The chips are a marriage between steak fries and seasoned potato wedges - maybe the couple live happily ever after. The portion is a nice size but get the add on piece anyway. Nicolle and the staff were good. The pie flight on the other hand was skippable. My partner thought it was bland but thought the chicken was best, I thought the Sheppard pie and beef pie were OK.

My wife and I chose to eat dinner at Elephant and Castle for our first meal after arriving in downtown Seattle, and it was incredible! We were seating as soon as we entered the restaurant. Then our server, Jo, greeted us and provided some great recommendations. She checked in on us multiple times throughout our meal and was very pleasant and attentive. I got the Fish n Chips and my wife had the Pie Sampler with a side house salad. Our food came out incredibly fast. The fish was very crispy and the tartar sauce was a delicious pairing. I'm not much of a slaw person, but the slaw that it came with was actually a really refreshing addition. Each of the four pies had their own unique flavor and it was all very tasty! The pie crust in top was super flaky as well. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a good meal in downtown Seattle.
