- PVPablo Vergara4 days ago5.0I was at Buca on sunday, may 3rd, with my wife... We enjoyed a pizza and a beer... The pizza was really great. Enrique, the waiter, spoke in spanish very well, and that made our visit more pleasant. Regarding the aesthetics of the place, it is very beautiful and cozy. I really liked the detail of the old photos. In addition, the location is very good. South Lake Union is a beautiful area to explore and walk around, just a few minutes' walk from downtown and Belltown, and what better way to end a morning of sightseeing than having lunch in an Italian restaurant. A very pleasant experience. When you visit the city, get to know it.

I saw Buca across the street and was drawn to the Italian signage. I came in and was met by a warm welcome and an ambiance that felt like home. Family photos, cans on tomatoes and everything that it’s in my Italian mom’s kitchen. I was welcomed by Priscilla who help me choose from the menu ensuring I got the portion size right. She was warm and insightful on what to get and later took the time to show me the upstairs rooms for family dinners. This place is a must visit for Italian family nostalgia and Priscilla made my experience of eating alone so wonderful.

The food was fine, but service was terrible, and while the flair of the restaurant building is still there everything just feels lacking. The bathroom was not recently cleaned when we were there, the server never brought our drinks until after we were part way through our main course. She didn’t bring out bread until we asked and it was hard and stale, the salad was ok- but not as fresh as I have become as accustomed to.

HUGE shout out to the crew and the man with the “fluffy” name tag haha, he was absolutely great to us and all the other staff. I’m a local to Seattle but never knew of this place until I went to a Buca di Beppo in Columbus Ohio last year. Celebrated my anniversary with my fiance at the Seattle location today and we are so happy with our choice. Can’t wait to go back and hopefully see the same crew, thank yall for what you do!
