My partner and I had a wonderful evening at Alder & Ash! Amy was an amazing server who was attentive and always showed up at just the right time. She was extremely kind and knowledgeable. The quality of service was the cherry on top for our evening. Thank you!

My friend and I had dinner there during our visit to Seattle. I had the cod and it was DELICIOUS. The chef stopped by and was very friendly. The only downside was the noise level. The restaurant wasn't very crowded, so it was the music and ambient noise. My friend and I had a hard time hearing each other across the table. However, the problem might be mine. The sound level is typical for many restaurants, so I would guess that many guests prefer it.

We recently dined at Alder & Ash in Seattle, and I felt compelled to highlight the exceptional experience we had—largely thanks to one of the managers, Hannah.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear the restaurant was running at a very high level, and that tone was set by her leadership. Hannah wasn’t just doing routine check-ins. She was actively present throughout the space, bringing a bright, positive energy that genuinely elevated the atmosphere. The restaurant felt noticeably more cohesive and welcoming than in previous visits.
What stood out most was how she interacted with her staff. There was a real sense of respect and teamwork in the way she communicated. She was encouraging, guiding, and when needed, gently correcting in a way that felt supportive rather than critical. It reflected strong leadership led by example.
It’s not often you see a manager so clearly shape the overall “vibe” of a restaurant, but this visit felt different in the best way. The entire dining experience felt smoother, warmer, and more intentional because of it.
Also worth noting; it was really meaningful to see a young woman leading such a large role with that level of confidence, grace, and care. It truly elevated the experience and made the restaurant feel even more special.
We’ve visited Alder & Ash before, but this was by far our best experience. Hannah’s presence and leadership made a clear, noticeable difference, and it’s something worth recognizing.
Tried to book a reservation for 13 for my sister’s bachelorette dinner. The booking site requires you to book through private dining for parties over a certain number, no problem.
Filled out the inquiry form and was reached out to by Tirzah, and quoted a completely unreasonable price for the dinner. After taxes and fees but BEFORE alcohol coming to $188/person.
I clarified that I was not looking for private dining, just to book a reservation for 13 and Tirzah informed me very curtly that they could not accommodate us and to reach out if I changed my mind.
Honestly just a bit unfortunate that they were willing to turn us away without even attempting to make it at least SEEM like they would try to find a way to accommodate us. 0 attempt at problem solving / offering alternatives.
Fortunately I’m sure there are many other wonderful restaurants in Seattle that will be much more helpful in assisting paying customers with reservations.

Absolutely loved the vibe here. Arrived for an early dinner (we had flown in from east coast), no reservation. Seated us right away. Server was charming and helpful. I had spilled something on the front of my shirt, and he brought something right away to help keep it from staining.
Fish and chips: delish, and fries were do crispy. I had some basil aioli with them. 😋
Salmon Crispy Rice: Delicious and interesting! (says the wife)
Huckleberry Ice Cream! YUM
Strawberry Shortcake: nice
Bar did a good job with my old fashioned.
Definitely would go again!
