  Flavors are rich and full of love, and the spice is definitely there. 🌶️ Warm & inviting place for date night or a relaxing dinner with the family. 📍 They have one location on Bellevue Ave in Seattle, and another coming soon to Bothell! 🗓️ I suggest to get reservations. The place was filled on a Wednesday. Things we enjoyed: -Bombay Vada Pav app. Fried & flavorful 🤤 -Chicken 65 app. 🌶️ -Garlic Naan & Butter Naan -Chicken Lababdar entree, creamy and spicy. 🌶️ -Dal Bukhara side, creamy and filling -Fresh lime soda, with a slightly salty masala -Kala Khatta Madness cocktail, like a cola with lime & mint & flavor 🤩 Things we didn’t love: -We didn’t have room for dessert 😆

  Aamrai, Capitol Hill (Seattle) Aamrai in Capitol Hill is a vibrant, high‑energy spot that delivers some truly brilliant, authentic Indian flavors. The food stands out for its freshness and depth of taste, and their tiffin box selection is a real highlight comforting, flavorful, and thoughtfully put together. As a vegetarian, I found plenty to enjoy, and while the vegan options are a bit limited, the overall menu still works well for plant‑based diners. The atmosphere is bustling and lively, almost festival‑like, and it stays crowded even on weekdays, which speaks to its popularity. The dining experience itself was memorable, though a couple of areas held it back from a full five stars. The first was the phone support when I called to clarify vegan options (since the website didn’t list them clearly), the response felt rushed and not very helpful. It seemed like they wanted to disconnect quickly, which wasn’t ideal for someone trying to understand dietary choices. Parking in Capitol Hill is always a challenge, and Aamrai is no exception, so plan ahead. Despite these small hiccups, Aamrai offers excellent food, great energy, and a unique dining experience. A strong 4‑star visit and definitely a place worth trying for anyone who loves bold, authentic flavors.

  Had an Excellent food and service experience we started with the vada pav and beetroot kebab as our starters and had paneer lababdar and chicken rassa with garlic Naan and rice and had spank the pine and kiss me in Goa as our cocktail the combination was quite good as now a days it's very hard to find india authentic food especially maharashtrian food, loved our dining experience. we'll definitely visit again

  Super bad experience. We ordered 2 main course dishes(saoji chicken and veg maratha) and NONE of them were edible. Super salty and spicy food without actually being tasty. Even after complaining about it to the server, the third dish we got was also overly spicy. Naans were hard like they had been reheated. They also added 18% gratuity for a 4 person table, absurd. I was recommended this place by multiple people so I hope that this was some backup inexperienced chef and other people had a better experience, but I'm not going to eat here ever again. Their food safety rating is also just 1 above the lowest possible score, so make of that what you will.

  TLDR: Great food, awful service! Note: If you have dietary restrictions, are vegan or vegetarian, or have allergies avoid this place due to cross contamination. They don't take it seriously even after being told. We ordered butter garlic naan (vegetarian) and tandoori roti (vegan). They look pretty similar and were served in the same basket mixed together. So we thought the roti never arrived. The person who ordered garlic naan had that basket, and we continued waiting for the roti expecting it to arrive. Much later we ask where the roti is and they say it was in the garlic naan basket, we told them we can't have them mixed, the roti is vegan. Now at this point I would expect a place with good service to just provide the roti again separately this time. They act dismissive on why that's a problem to begin with, and then said it'll be another charge to get the roti again (again advertised as vegan). So we order it and wait again for the second roti to arrive. This takes yet again a very long time. Eventually they come to have us pay for the check and leave because they forgot about the second roti. To which we had to remind them again we haven't gotten all the food we ordered. So we wait again, and finally the roti arrives for me to eat my at that point cold curry with. Finally when we pay the check, there's an 18% auto gratuity for parties of 4 which kinda was the final slap in the face for how bad the service was the whole time. If the restaurant is this pricey and fancy, good service is half of what you're paying for.
