Well, this is the 5th order in two weeks that has been disappointing. I’m a member for 10+years with hundreds of orders going back to my first corporate job. Quick delivery, consistent delicious sandwiches. I even learned about trophy hunting… during the bad years for the ceo. Still a fan.
Apparently that was way back in when ‘no dry bites’ was the motto. Innocently - I was overjoyed when moving here and discovering I’m a mere 1 light away from my favorite lunch spot! I’m sad to say this, It’s been a disappointment. Important: this shop does have fresh ingredients, kind staff, and consistent technically correct orders.
Note of warning: ⚠️ this location has had dry sandwiches even when I UNNECESSARILY add extra mayo, extra oil+vinegar, extra ranch etc, I can’t seem to get a sandwich delivery that’s not dry.
For perspective, in Portland, I’m an easy/lite sauce gal. Sometimes no sauce if it’s xtra lettuce and tomato. Most sandwiches my whole life are no mayo because a little bit of tomato juice or pickle is just enough. I’m not quite sure how I get a “ left out overnight “ sandwich every single time from this place but it’s no longer worth the gamble.
Freaky Fast is not something here either - small town island time is definitely prominent and most of the time delivery is 45min-1.5 hour and I’m less than a mile down the main road. Further, they don’t update the online ordering system with ANY consistency.
Frequently orders were ignored on the text and online updates and after way over an hour I moved on with the disappointment with no delivery and left home for food. Returning to finding warm soda and the bag on my doorstep by accident. In Portland, the sandwiches are still delectable, moist, crispy bread with melt in your mouth insides. I get it. Granted: It’s the high desert here - prairie, unshaded afternoon, hot sun even in the Jan-April I’m discussing here… so after I realize my order was forgotten and I already went somewhere else for lunch after no word from the company - returning to a sun warmed Sammie and I’m just happy to snag a bite of my familiar favorites and stick it in the fridge for later. Why is it always dry though??? I’m not sure why the staff refuses to add significant sauce. Thinking it’s got to be regional, I’ve upped my mods. Really! Here, even with my extra sauces, extra moisture mods it’s like a sad mummy of a sandwich that the boss never told them could be better with a lil squeeze of the good stuff that’s right there on the line in front of the artists.
I’ve got several thousands in points saved. Yet, I’m just about done with average, late, dry food.
