- RRR “Therealreview” RSep 29, 20261.0I’ve had several uncomfortable interactions with one of the lead managers at this Safeway. His demeanor toward customers can be rude, dismissive, and unnecessarily intimidating. He has a way of interacting with people that makes you feel like you’re in the way or that you don’t belong in the store, especially when you question something or raise a concern. That’s not the kind of experience I want when I’m simply trying to shop for groceries. Customers shouldn’t feel like they’re inconveniencing management by being there or asking a reasonable question. Even when there’s a disagreement or misunderstanding, customers should still be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, these interactions have gotten to the point where I genuinely don’t enjoy shopping here, and if I know this manager is working, I’m much more likely to choose somewhere else. That’s disappointing because I shouldn’t have to consider whether a particular manager is working before deciding whether I want to shop at a grocery store.

I asked for one from the back and she gave me one that was obviously from the previous day. I put that back and got another loaf of bread that rang up for $5.99 when the sale tag on the shelf said $2.99. Definitely not the experience I expect from Safeway.
