The low quality of the produce and the overall issues with things not being consistently in stock (more than once I've come in and they just don't have potatoes or onions on a weekday, or found the meat department completely shut down around 5pm) don't help them justify their high prices. I can get the same cart at Fred Meyer just a few miles away for 20-30% less, and usually higher quality.

- BLBrittany LudingtonSep 4, 20261.0I’m really disappointed in this Safeways prices. Several times now I have gone to Walmart and compared prices to Safeway. A couple of examples off the top of my head are Lily's Chocolate Chips Safeways price is $10/bag and Walmart is $6/bag. Truffle Hot Sauce Safeway was charging $20/bottle and Walmart had it for $10/bottle. A small bag of Monkfruit sweetener at Safeway is $10 but Walmart has a bag double the size for $13. Those are just a FEW examples there has been so much more I’ve seen. It’s absolutely insane and quite frankly disgusting what this Safeway charges for things. I’m not sure how they get away with this taking advantage of the Orting community.
