I love this store especially their fruit and vegetables section. They are always fresh and reasonably priced.

I went into safeway a couple months and saw they had almost 2 week old cookie message cakes on the floor so i ordered a custom one 2 days in advance so it would be fresh. However when I picked it up, it was dry, crumbly and hurt my gums trying to chew it. I thought they must've changed from the last time I had one years ago because I remembered them soft, chewy and pliable. However last week, I went in to the store and saw there was a fresh one made that day and so i bought it. It was so soft, chewy and pliable and yummy. That day I learned that this Safeway bakery uses old cookies for their "custom" cookie cakes. Tonight I went in to get another one, because the last one was so good and they didn't have any at all. However they still had the same 3 containers of $5 green and yellow buttercream that's been sitting there for almost a whole month. I'm done with this Safeway bakery and will never shop there again!

Super lame that I got double charged in their stupid self checkout because their machine didn’t print out a receipt and then this person wants to stand over my shoulder instead of actually checking the machine like a valuable employee. Never once had a problem and now I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Absolutely unacceptable and lazy behavior.

Electronic price tags ALL throughout the store. Shame on you guys. That’s price manipulation 1000%. I feel bad for the FILE MAINTENANCE team that was either laid off, or reduced to a single person due to this greedy change. $7.69 for a 8 pack of oatmeal is criminal…. And don’t say “inflation” or “rising costs” it’s frickin’ oatmeal. Self checkout is now 15 items or less, thus making it in inconvenient to most everyone. So if you have to go to a register, well there’s only one lane open so get comfy. I feel bad for the poor overworked and unpaid cashier that is stressing as their line grows bigger… The ice cream is also locked. Because of course it is. Maybe instead of punishing your patrons who do NOT steal and want to buy product. Beef up your nonexistent AP so the tweakers who were stealing ice cream could be stopped. But nah. Why do that when you can just put some locks on the door and call it good. Again thus inconveniencing your paying customers who just wanna go and out and leave this sad location of a store. The employees I do see are hard at work chatting about how much their job sucks. The only real workers I see are the drive up and go folks. There are SO many other grocery stores to choose from in this area that are grateful for their customers, don’t lock up weird products and who don’t use ELECTRONIC TAGS. Literally. Go elsewhere. And I know this reply will be met with “your concern has been shared with our team…” except everyone knows it won’t. So again, stop lying to your customers who leave honest reviews because you don’t wanna admit that this company is making constant mistakes. Mistakes the consumers see.

Treats you like a common criminal when you go for ice cream. has them all locked up. Like who has food locked up at a grocery store? Whoever did it is an idiot. Also the self checkout lady went through my bag trying to say I didn't scan my avacados...I did scan them. GREAT EXPERIENCE
