  The prices at this place are actually insane!! Literally Whole Foods prices for Kroger quality (not a dig at Kroger <3). They should close this down and build an EOS Fitness here. Why is a pack of 93/7 ground beef $14!??? I am going to Fred Meyer.

  Boycott this place. They lock up their dang ice cream like they're firearms. I'm not a criminal so don't treat me like one. I won't shop at grocery stores that make me deal with this B.S.!

  Never. Enough. Checkouts. Open. Front of house is always crammed full of people waiting for the 2 checkout lines open. Shopping late is dismal as hell because there is stock piled all over, can’t even get a cart back into the meat section or area with cold juice. Endcaps, crap hanging in the isles, just product (junk) everywhere. Disabled Carts are always dead batteries. These are the same complaints I have on every visit. Every. Visit. Only saving grace for this place is that the staff is usually friendly. Haggen has better sushi; thicker cuts of fish and less expensive for the same thing every time I have checked.

  This is a great Safeway location! Ample and well-lit parking made me feel safer during my trip, which I had to make in the evening. The store was clean, well-stocked, and organized. All the staff members I interacted with were very friendly and cheerful!

  I came to this store simply out of convenience today. I don't regularly shop at Safeway because over the years, I've found their prices to be higher than other stores, and I'm not into all the loyalty or club card schemes. Today's visit reinforced exactly why I won't shop at this store or frankly, any of the Albertsons/Safeway store brands or any of the other 20+ store brands they own currently. I needed to get some baby food, and a few other items for dinner tonight, and that was it. I went in knowing that I wasn't buying anything else because it would likely more expensive than I was willing to pay. It turned out that the baby food vegetable pouches box was just about $13 for 9 ea 3.5 oz pouches. And that was $2 off using your "club card", so the "non-club" price was $14.99. I was pretty floored. I buy a lot of this exact same product very often. I was used to paying $10.87, but a few months ago, the particular store did a rollback on the price to $9.87. That $3.12 less for the exact same thing. I even made sure it was apples to apples by using the store app that did the roll back to scan the UPC code on the box and sure enough, $9.87... I have to wonder what benefit, if any did I have by going to this store in the first place? In the bitter end, 5 of the 7 items I went in specifically forcame out to be almost $12 in total higher than the store that does the rollbacks. I decided by that with 2 items left on my list I would be better off abandoning my shopping cart right were I stood, walking out the door and driving to the rollback store in Tumwater and not wasting my time (or money) at this store again. I can see that over the course of a year if I shopped solely at Safeway, it's very likely I would spend literally several thousand more dollars shopping at Safeway than I would shipping somewhere else. I only decided to go to the rollback store in this case because there was one non grocery item I needed to get and this would have been a fine time to get it. But if I wanted to save even more money on the limited amount of groceries I was getting my best bet would have been another store altogether. That places name start with a W and ends with an O, and has inc inbetween. On everyday grocery items, they beat everyone in this region. Today, with the absolute lack of good leadership and policy, we all face increased costs for everything. We also face increases through tarrifs, trade wars and corporate greed. There is no choice but to keep our hands firmly clenched around our wallets and pocketbooks. Keeping our families housed, clothed, warm, dry, healthy, educated and secure has never cost more than it does today. Best of luck to all that read this.
