Aisles were clogged with pallets, has an encounter with a very rude produce department employee over the lack of signage on cherries, and the check out lines were long. I've been shopping there since it first opened many years ago and this was by far, the worst experience I have ever had! Probably the worst experience in any grocery store, ever!!

How toxic does a place have to be for store employees to go out of their way to NOT give good customer service? To lie to me on the phone about a Door Dasher standing in their store trying to resolve an issue?? Taking up Door Dasher time (which is $ for them) when the issue is on their end?? Why are they accepting "deli" orders when they do not have a means to complete them??? Or in my case routing a non-deli item to a non-existent del checkout!! And if you cancel the order, there is no refund. Lucky for me I had an amazing shopper. But how many people have been swindled by this Oak Harbor Safeway for the same thing??? And this isn't the first issue. Asking for a raincheck on an item and being treated like a criminal trying to take advantage because they can't read their own shelf placard. Missing items from pick up orders after waiting forever for an employee standing outside smoking with your order! General unhelpfulness from store employees. Not to mention it often appears no one is actually taking care of the store. All of this is why I drive to Anacortes from Oak Harbor. I'm sorry I sent a Door Dasher to Oak Harbor Safeway. NEVER AGAIN!! Even if I am sick again!!!
