  I don’t understand what has happened to this store. I’ve been shopping here for 5 years, and the pharmacy is excellent. The bakery has completely disappeared. Most of the time there are 4 cakes in the entire case, it used to be full. They’ve also moved away from real frosting and now it’s that horrible whipped crème frosting. The chocolate is such a disgusting color I can’t even describe it here. Think what’s inside a diaper. I bought every occasion cake and cupcakes here in the past. Going to QFC or Haggen now.

  My family has been shopping at this Safeway for over 11 years, and after this experience, we have decided we will not be returning. Before making the 25 minute drive, my sister called the deli to ask a very specific question about whether a certain fried chicken was available and whether there was enough of it. The employee who answered the phone was already rude, interrupted her before she could finish speaking, told her they had it, said it was in the front, and commented that there was no reason for her to call before hanging up. When she arrived, the chicken was not in the front display as he had said. She explained that she couldn’t find it, but instead of helping, he pointed to the wrong item and continued to have an attitude. He told her to “be back,” so she waited, but he never returned. Another deli employee then approached her and, in a rude tone, said, “No chicken here for you. What chicken?” The interaction from the entire deli team felt hostile and unprofessional. Even after everything, they still did not have the amount of chicken she had originally called to confirm. We understand that stores get busy, but there is never an excuse to treat customers with disrespect. If the chicken wasn’t available, simply saying so on the phone would have saved my sister a 25 minute drive. After over a decade of shopping here, this was by far the worst customer service we’ve experienced. We hope management addresses the professionalism and customer service within the deli department so other customers don’t have the same experience.

  My wife was at the store at 6am and needed to use the restroom before she shopped. The courtesy clerk in the front and back were extremely rude and denied her using the restroom. My wife is 62 and we live in Edmonds and spend 1000’s to purchase groceries at many stores in the area. Finally another clerk from the back let her in before she shopped and bought a bunch of food. I reported this to the manager on duty and she said she would take care of it.

  I absolutely loved shopping on this Safeway it’s absolutely the cleanest and amazing Safeway with the best staff. Once I was short a dollar and the cashier paid out of pocket for it I really appreciate it and will be shopping here again Thank you so much 🙏
