  Kinda bummed out. I was really craving fish and chips while in town, I had never been here, but reviews brought me in. I got the medium hallibut basket to go, the fish batter was way too salty, I didn't get the little side of malt vinegar I had asked for, no napkins, or any utensils to eat my coleslaw with. I feel like for $22 I could have gotten something much better elsewhere.

  Food was wonderful as usual. BUT our server (04-27-26 around 4:30 pm) was HORRIBLE!!! She never asked if our food was okay, if we needed anything else, or even checked to see if we needed more water! So very unimpressed and disappointed!! At the end of our meal, we had to wait several minutes to even get our bill. Then she dropped the bill on the floor, looked at it and didn't even bother to pick it up, just walked away. I had to pick it up off the floor! She needs how to give decent (if not great!) customer service.

  As always, the food was fantastic. Unfortunately, the service today (April 27, 2026 at approximately 4:30) was horrible. The server did nothing more than take our order and bring our food. Not once did she come back to refill our drinks, see if we needed anything else or to inquire on our experience. In the end, she dropped our receipt on the floor, looked at it fall, then proceeded to walk away. Do better young lady.

  Halibut & fries became one of my favorite meals when I discovered it at The Masthead. When they closed I tried to find a match at other local restaurants, without success. Well, I found a match +++ at Freddy’s Just For the Halibut. Mike is an amazing cook. He’s created an excellent menu.

  We had a late lunch at Freddy’s. I’m Celiac so was thrilled to know they have a dedicated fryer. I ordered the medium Fried Cod and french fries. Both were delicious! The rest of the family had various dishes and they were all good. Prices were reasonable and the place was clean. We will definitely stop by again when in the area.
