I was waiting for an attendant to verify id when a man in a dirty hoody stepped in front of me (no Safeway badge, etc). As it turned out, he was the attendant....no eye contact, hello or thank you, just verified my age and walked away. The service has drastically declined here in recent years. I do the majority of my shopping elsewhere now.

Everyone else was having their groceries bagged but you’re throwing items on top of the items that we are frantically trying to bag up. Why did you bag the items up for everyone else? Wanted to talk to a manager but left the store in tears. Hope you have the kind of day you deserve.

The front doors open and they close behind you, when you bring your items to the front you can check yourself out or they will do it for you. Safeway usually has a good selection of products and I like the manager specials My only issue is the price tags. As a young person with perfectly fine vision, it was hard to see the regular prices for items with the "2/$5.00" style of discount tags, and I can't imagine how difficult it would be for one of my family members who's visually impaired
