I had an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience at this Safeway fuel station. I arrived at 9:50 p.m., and the fuel pump attendants were nowhere to be found for a full 10 minutes. When they finally walked back after 10:00 p.m., instead of being helpful, they yelled at me saying that the pump I was at didn't work. To make matters worse, because Safeway charges a dollar processing fee each time you try to swipe, I had to back up to a different pump without any warning from them that none of the pumps were actually working.
When I tried to walk into the kiosk right around 10:00 p.m., no one was there. I tried a second time at 10:01 p.m., and they just screamed at me that they were closed. They literally just stood there and watched me struggle to try and use the second pump, knowing full well it wasn't going to work. Completely rude, unprofessional, and lacking basic customer service. I will never come back here to fill up again.

It's a decent store and carries a lot of the items I'm looking for.
Be prepared to check yourself out, at least in the evenings. For example, tonight the only aisles open were self checkout. I generally use those anyway but if you prefer using a checker, you might be out of luck

A few weeks ago, my nephew was in the store and went to check the Pokémon machine, but he told me that a female employee screamed at him and chased him away.
I experienced this myself earlier this week. On my way to work, I stopped by the machine to see if it had anything, and the moment I touched it, the employee from the floral department started screaming at me from behind, claiming I was "loitering"—even though I had only just walked up to it. As I walked away, I noticed her standing there waiting to buy the cards as soon as they were restocked. My facetime video captured her purchasing the items immediately after yelling at me to drive me away.
When I stopped back by after work, she was still there, hovering by the machine and checking her phone, clearly waiting for the next restock.
It seems obvious that she is abusing her position to hoard the products as soon as they become available. She is essentially using company time to clear out the machine, and she’s intimidating other customers to ensure she gets to them first.
When I showed a photo of her to my nephew, he confirmed that this was the employee who yelled at him. I’m incredibly disappointed that she felt comfortable screaming at my nephew and frightening him. Beyond that, I highly doubt your company approves of employees monopolizing on the clock time for personal gain, likely to sell on Facebook Marketplace.
