COLD FOOD, LONG WAIT, TINY PORTIONS AT FULL PRICE. Went through the drive through. Ordered two whole ciabatta dippers and drinks. It took forever to get the food after we paid. Which I assumed it would be nice and hot and well prepared....I was wrong. The food was cold and made horribly. The sandwiches had barely any meat on them. I had to combine my whole into a half to get enough meat to cover the bread. Both cups of dipping sauce had 2 tablespoons of sauce in them FOR A WHOLE SANDWICH!!!! $30 for half a dinner. I can barely afford to go out to eat and use it as a rare treat. I will never give Panera my money again.

I’ve been here before, but I don’t know what happened today; the cashier even scolded me because I asked for my bowl without rice. I always order it without rice, and usually, they give me extra arugula instead. Today, the cashier rudely told me it wasn't possible, though she eventually agreed; however, when the order was handed to me, it had rice in it. When I pointed out to the person handing it over that it was supposed to be without rice, they got annoyed too; I returned the order, and they rudely told me to keep it while they prepared another one, claiming the incorrect bowl couldn't stay on the counter. The service today was terrible; I don't know if the work environment was bad, but that’s not my fault.

⭐ I understand that arriving 15 minutes before closing isn't anyone's favorite customer interaction. But if your doors are open, you're open. Customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience simply because staff have already mentally moved on to closing the restaurant. This was genuinely some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We placed our order online and went through the drive-thru to pick it up. I had ordered the French Ciabatta Dipper, but we were told they were out of the French onion au jus. Since the au jus is pretty essential to a sandwich literally called a "Dipper," I said I would rather choose another item included in the same deal. Instead of simply accommodating that, they repeatedly pushed me to take the sandwich without the au jus even after I had made it clear I didn't want it. When I ultimately chose the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad instead, it was obvious that the change was not well received. Because we were having trouble hearing each other through the drive-thru speaker, we specifically asked if we could finish confirming the order at the window. No one came to the window to do that. When our food was eventually handed to us, I asked whether my extra salad dressing was included. The employee immediately responded with attitude, telling me, "We didn't know about that. You didn't pay for that." I explained that I had requested it over the speaker and that the order had already been changed because the restaurant couldn't provide my original meal. Her response was essentially that it wasn't on the order and I hadn't paid for it. For context, I've ordered the Fuji Apple salad with extra dressing many times and have never been charged for an extra dressing on the side. But the dressing wasn't really the issue. It was the way we were being spoken to. There was huffing, dismissive body language, obvious irritation, and finally, "Well, okay, then what do you want?" delivered with enough attitude that we asked for a manager. The manager (Sarah) then explained that she hadn't come to the window when we'd requested assistance because she was busy closing tills and shutting down stations. And that really summed up the entire experience. The restaurant was still open. We weren't banging on the doors after closing asking someone to fire the ovens back up. We were paying customers who placed an order during posted business hours. Closing duties are part of running a restaurant. They shouldn't become the customer's problem. If you're open until a certain time, the person who orders 15 minutes before closing deserves basic courtesy just as much as the person who orders two hours earlier. Instead, the entire interaction made us feel like we had inconvenienced the staff simply by showing up while the restaurant was still open. No apology for being unable to provide the meal I ordered. No effort to make the substitution easy. No attempt to smooth over an already frustrating experience. Just irritation at nearly every step. I don't expect anyone working near closing time to be thrilled that another order came in. I do expect basic professionalism and respect. This location missed that bar by a mile. P.S. Regular customer here, which is exactly why this experience stood out so much.
