  Ok. Absurd to leave a 5 star for a McDonalds? I thought so too, before I ate here. We arrived here, late afternoon on a dusty day after many hours of driving. There was nothing about this location that spelled magic. It looks and smells and feels like what it is - a roadside McDonald’s in the middle of wine country nowhere. We were hungry, but not so hungry that we’d hallucinate delicacy where there was none. Please, hear me: We ordered 20 McNuggets and some fries. Everything looked completely normal. It wasn’t. These McNuggets we had were unlike any I’ve ever enjoyed in my long life as a McNuggets enjoyer. They were just perfect. Absolutely perfect. I don’t know what to say without describing what sounds like a normal chicken nugget. So just imagine a chicken nugget - but it’s way better than it should be. No hint of weird texture. Consistent. Mysteriously flavorful. Tantalizing crunch. My bf is a much bigger skeptic than I and even he was blown away. We drove away confused by how good those had been. For days, we looked back with wonderment. The best chicken nuggets either of us had ever tasted. Long hours on the road spent extolling the many virtues of those nuggets, arguing about whether we should go back. Was it a fluke? An accidental inclusion of hand fed chickens that had been raised like queens? An atypically spiced batch of pink goo? Some kind of happy accident in the kitchen? Were we hyping it up too much? Had we manufactured the memory? Back and forth we went for many days, weighing out the pros and cons. Risking adulteration by way of a more average McNugget hurt to imagine, though in the end, my desire for the sublime and my boyfriend’s love of the scientific method won out - and we made a pit stop on our way home. And again… Dear reader, I promise. The nuggets were obscene. Either there’s an artist working the microwave slash fryer whatever it is, or this location has a perfectly patina’d microwave slash fryer whatever it is. I choose to believe it’s the former. As such: I urge McDonald’s to find the (currently) anonymous employee who prepared the nuggets at approx 5pm on April 26th 2026 and 7pm on May 7th 2026 and honor them with something like a large cash bonus. I’m sorry that this took me so long to write. Talented anonymous, I hope you feel seen.

  Ordered a bacon quarter pounder, got no bacon….. Ordered a 10pc nugget, got a 6pc and there was only 4…… Ordered a sweet tea, got a puckered face…. If I ever go back I’m ordering water and maybe it’ll be wine because they need a miracle.

  Mane I order one McGriddle and a small coke and they take more then 15 minutes to get it out
