- DYDesert Yeti2 days ago1.0The store does not have a sandwich / burrito bar. They claim it needs to be repaired. It has been unavailable for 2-3 years or more now. Every other Safeway in the region has a working sandwich/burrito bar. This makes me feel like I’m getting getting a worse comparative experience as a customer, and I’ve spoken to literally dozens of people who feel the same way. We can drive 10 minutes further to buy lower-priced groceries at Freddie’s, then a burrito from the other Gig Harbor Safeway, since they have a working sandwich bar, and make the food with care.

It couldn't read deals, combined with items being being placed in the wrong place and deals advertised not correct, it was a poor experience. Safeway are charging premium prices but the experience is poor compared to Fred or Costco. Not recommended.
