Depends on who is working if you feel judged or not. Judging customers makes them feel uncomfortable and the customers that don't deserve that usually won't come back.

This store does not even deserve a star, one day i was in a hurry and i thought i scanned every item but come to find out i didnt so the front end manager came outside and said “u didnt pay for all ur items” i said r u sure? No big deal so we went back in side and she rang up the items that i missed scanning, and i paid for those items well needless to say ever since that day i have been treated like shit! the manager saying “you stoled from here” umm NO ACTUALLY I DIDNT, I Came back in and paid for the items!! so now if i have more then 15 items i have to go to a register that has a cahier (i cant use self check out) im sorry but there is like never ANY cashiers there when i go! also the other day i went in and grabbed some food so i can cook for my kids, that same manger comes over to me and says i told u not to come to self check out! i said well im in a hurry, i said u can look at all my stuff i scanned EVERYTHING! she takes me over to a check stand and i told her well maybe u guys should have more cashiers, and she said something else to me cant remember what it was she said and i told her well i need to feed my kids!! and she tells me I DONT CARE, U CAN JUST LEAVE!! and tells me that well u stoled from here!!! but i dont think that is stealing if i went back into the store and paid for the items!! would u consider this stealing???…

be careful of the carts. They stop suddenly within the parking lot especially near the entrance (where disabled parking is) because the loss prevention tech is buggy. I've injured myself on the cart despite moving at a fairly slow pace and EVEN READING THE WARNING TO BE CAREFUL OF IT. One time my cart even got stuck completely and I had to ask a staff to unlock it, again, within the parking lot. Looking at other reviews this isn't the only accessibility problem they've neglected. I will no longer be coming here for groceries.

I'm a personal shopper. With shipt. I regularly shop at multiple Safeway locations. Whether I have 15 items or 30 I will go through the self checkout lanes. Why? Because your employees don't bag things properly at the checkout. I've had bags of oranges on salads. I've had cans in with eggs. I've had coffee and with frozen foods. So today I shop out of the Everett store. 1715 Broadway. I go to the self checkout. And the manager working named Maggie says, this is a 15 or less self checkout. I'm going to have to have you go over to the check stand. And I look over in their staring at me. Both the employees there. So I explain to her what I just told you. Now she doesn't hear me when I say that this is a complaints about the quality of the customer service I receive. She doesn't hear me say that I'm a personal shopper it's going to be quick. So she's wasting time standing there talking to me in front of your other customers and employees. So I flat out asked her I said I don't think you're hearing me what's going to happen if I still just bring my groceries up here. And she says nothing. So I started ringing up my groceries. I'm 2/3 of the way through and the store manager himself interrupts me in a hostile and aggressive and rude way. That was in no way professional. And says to me, this is a 15 or item less you're going to have to go to the check stand next time. And I said I already talked to the manager about this. You're interrupting me while I'm working. You don't bag things properly there. And he said, she said you were rude to her. So the manager Maggie didn't hear me about my complaints. She took it personally and retaliated and went right to her manager and complains that I was being rude. He came over and was hostile and interrupted me while I was working. Instead of simply asking me hey I heard something happen you want to talk about that? Or waiting till I was finished and has started to pull off and then ask me off to the side away from everybody what happened. So your store manager isn't respectful mature or professional either. What is going on in this store? Why am I being treated so disrespectfully? This isn't a line in the TSA at the airport. This is me buying something from your company. $274 worth of groceries. That I didn't want smashed and damaged before I got out the door. And neither of your managers address that. But they sure did want to pick a fight with me in front of everybody. So what is going on there? Do they not have proper support? Do they not know how to do their jobs properly? Do they not understand the nature of customer service? And it's not about their authority and someone telling them no I don't like that. I need to do this my way because it causes me problems. And the way that you guys used to operate was you had multiple check stands open. But your company doesn't want to do that anymore. That's on you. I challenge you to do better as a company. And I would like to hear back from someone about this. Is this your idea of good business? Should I tell my customer don't order there they were disrespectful to me? Should I tell my customer to order from QFC instead? Because I can do that. And I can take my business elsewhere. So why don't your managers understand that? And to make this clearer for you, if this happens again I'll consider it harassment in the workplace. And I will file a complaint with L&I. I look forward to hearing back from someone about this. To see if you think that this was good customer service. To see if your corporation understands that the reason I feel like I have to go through self checkout is because I don't get the proper customer service and care with the goods that I'm purchasing from your employees. I'd like that acknowledged. I'd like you to explain that to your other two managers. And that it's not about their authority and they are not better than anyone else. It's about how well they serve their customers. Because if I talk to my customers the way that they talk to me, I wouldn't have any customers. And I think your corporate office needs to know.
