- HHHowler HamptonAug 5, 20262.0This behavior still agrivates me... but at lest this staff understands that only the presence of a receipt is required. Unlike other stores which use it as an excuse to stop and search every customer as they exit. So I will give them a star for the effort of being civil. There are still thing I have only found at Safeway, so I'm forced to visit. I don't like shopping at a place that has made a habit of making me feel wrongly accused. But law (check your local laws) a.\n Business cannot stop you from leaving without reason. This sign is a visual contract, but only applies to whether or not you have a receipt. It does not apply to the contents of the receipt or your cart or bag. Stopping a customer to search these items without legal reason is against the law. Places like Costco, get around this through a contract that is signed during membership. The wording of the contract states that the receipt check is to ensure that the customer is not overcharged, and thus providing A more comfortable environment for such behavior. It is left over from the days when Costco did not use barcode scanning. And even to this day, it is still treated as a quality assurance check not an accusation.

I’ve had great relations with the employees at this store. If I could do zero stars i would’ve. Do yourself a favor, don’t shop here. This store and the company under the Albertsons umbrella don’t deserve your money.
