- JNJustin NormanAug 12, 20262.0It’s certainly a nice little spot with a fairly friendly neighborhood vibe but BUT there is a huge, oversized issue with the place. We’ve lived in Covington for around five years now and have been here probably once a year in the time period. Weekends and weekdays, fast and slow times. No matter when we’ve been here the pace of service is agonizingly slow. Twenty minutes to get a bagel and cream cheese on a Wednesday at ten in the morning. Insane wait times when there are maybe a half dozen customers. I can’t help but think if this restaurant was in any other location they would have been out of business years ago. None of this is with malice, but the ownership simple has to know this. I could drive to Safeway, buy bagels and cream cheese, bring them home, prepare, and eat them before my order here would be ready - supposed that’s what I will stick with from now on. I want to support local businesses, but we get an annual reminder that Bruchelle’s is unfortunately not that business for us. Also - please toast the bagels more, they are far too doughy.
