  Unhappy with the quality of the Boston cream pie. This is a 16$ cake, and it is supposed to have custard in the middle, but there is instead a very small amount of custard and mostly whipped cream to make it seem like it's fuller than it is. Every other Safeway I've purchased this from has custard inside ONLY, but this one cut corners and instead put mostly whipped cream inside. The same whipped cream which was on top of the cake, was also inside of it, with a very small amount of custard. The cake was for a child's birthday, so thankfully the children didn't care obviously, but as a fan of Boston cream pies I was legit sickened by this. It tasted bad and ruined the flavor, also left a bad aftertaste in my mouth because of what is most likely high fructose corn syrup in the fake whipped cream. I will make sure to tell my husband to avoid this location and go to the Chehalis location instead, as they make Boston cream pies correctly there and don't cut it with cheap, garbage whipped cream.

  I went in for donuts. I found their case and grabbed 2. They had individuals and pre-boxed. Very yummy.

  Very polite late night staff. Bathrooms clean. Its nice and close to the freeway. Thank you Safeway. 😊

  The woman working at the sushi counter was incredibly rude and seemed annoyed that customers were asking questions or placing orders. Customer service goes a long way, and unfortunately, this experience made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I understand everyone has bad days, but treating customers with kindness and respect should be the standard. I won’t be returning to this sushi counter because of how poorly we were treated.

  I rarely use Safeway at all now that Winco is an option, the prices are just wildly cheaper for the same quality and more options. I’ve used the grocery pick up option probably 4 times now and each time I’ve had to wait in the parking lot for an hour or more past my pick-up window time because they’re always running behind. Probably will only use it as a last resort in the future, it’s faster to just go in and shop myself. With the lack of cashiers available after the introduction of self check-out, I’m really not sure why they can’t seem to staff the store appropriately for the level of traffic it receives other than corporate wanting to cut labor costs at the expense of customer time and experience. They have some very wonderful, friendly faces here that are the only reason I’ll return. People are what make people come back to your business. Investment in them is important.
