Assuming it was the owner behind the counter, they started cleaning early and already had the oven off and food packed away. Close at 9, means you serve til 9... right? lol Either that, or adjust business hours to reflect, we close Dine in at 9, food prep stops at 8:30 - ended up walking out because they seemed so put out that we wanted to order something.
