Honestly I wasn't expecting a whole lot from a gas station but I've had some great chicken from hot cases (think Cook Rd Shell). But my first visit was a great disappointment. The chicken was chewy and stringy and the biscuit was like biting into styrofoam. The only redeeming factor was the mashed potatoes and gravy, which while obviously instant, were a step above KFC. I accepted they weren't what I was looking for and moved on. 10 months later and I decided to try them again after seeing many people recommend them online. I can say the chicken was a little bit better, still not as good as KFC or even grocery store hot case chicken but definitely passable. The biscuit was still dry but it didn't give me goosebumps biting into a squeaky dry puck like before. They were out of mashed potatoes and gravy so I tried the jambalaya instead. It actually had a decent flavor to it despite the dried out pieces of rice. Giving them 2 stars because while their chicken fails to live up to their namesake, they seem to have decent sides, besides the biscuits.

The Google maps listing is a little bit misleading because it’s more so the gas station hot case in the Mobil station there rather than a real restaurant. Manage your expectations accordingly, but, if you’re looking for something quick and affordable, it’s pretty good!

If this is what they are comfortable serving I can only imagine how bad the behind the scenes of this resuarant are. Do not eat here. There is a higher likelihood than not that they will make you sick.
