- NNNouman NayyerAug 17, 20261.0Very Disappointing Customer Service I had a very disappointing experience at my neighborhood Safeway today. I asked an employee in the fried food/bakery section, who was carrying a mop and bucket, where I could find fresh bread. Instead of simply answering or directing me, he pointed in a direction without saying a single word. I found the interaction unnecessarily rude and unhelpful. I also tried speaking with the shift supervisor/manager, Don, hoping he could address the situation, but unfortunately I felt like I was being brushed off again. This is the closest Safeway to my home, and I realize that one review may not make much difference. However, I wanted to share my experience in the hope that management sees it and takes the opportunity to address the customer service issue. I would much rather support a local store where customers are treated with basic courtesy and respect. For now, I’ll probably take my business elsewhere rather than return to this location.
